MRS CHANDIGARH 2018 & MRS BEAUTIFUL SKIN MITALI JOHAR HONORED STUDENTS OF CLEOPATRA BEAUTY ACADEMY.

The ceremony was organized in collaboration with International City and Guilds UK which brought to light the creativity of immensely talented students of Cleopatra and the occasion also coincided with the launch of their vocational institute in Chandigarh.

The day was dedicated to honor, recognize and value skill and talent. Organized by Cleopatra Beauty Academy the occasion provided youth with an opportunity to showcase the artistry of makeovers and hair craft while students were given certification.

MRS CHANDIGARH 2018 & Mrs. Beautiful skin Mitali Johar added starry charm to the occasion by paying a surprising visit. In the wake of the pandemic, the students of Cleopatra Beauty Academy were being trained virtually for the past few months, and by registering their presence and being part of the meet and greet they were joyful.

Richa Aggarwal, beauty & makeover expert along with beauty expert Harveen Kathuria hosted this enchanting ceremony which aimed to encourage young beauty aspirants to make it big into the world of beauty. The communicative evening took place at the Cleopatra Spa n Salon, sec 9. On this occasion, the students put to craft beautiful trends while weaving their creativity and innovation.

Various fusion looks were presented on the concept of “East Meets West”, that blended technology of the west with the creativity of India. While presenting the international techniques of make-up, nail art, and hairstyling in harmony with Indian artistry.

Richa Aggarwal also held a live session with students to exchanged knowledge about identifying organic beauty products and most importantly maintaining the hygiene of the beauty products.

Mithali Johar encouraged the young beauty professionals by encouraging them, ‘I am very impressed to see the creativity shown by these students, even during the Pandemic time they kept practicing their craft and their dedication is evident from their work.

Academy has been playing a significant role in nurturing and grooming young minds. Under the guidance of Cleopatra, these aspiring youth are getting a chance to touch new heights and I am very happy to honor them. On this occasion, Richa Aggarwal said, “Our aim is to Skill students in important streams of beauty and help them in shaping their careers.”

Richa also reiterated that students were given knowledge about organic beauty products with advice to follow important principles in beauty such as Cruelty-Free Beauty, Organic Beauty, and Eco-friendly beauty Concepts.

The ambiance was filled with excitement and jubilation as the beauty queen went a step further by awarding these skilled curators with certification that acknowledged and acclaimed their skills. Creativity, innovation, and newness embellished makeovers and hair designs presented by students of Cleopatra makeovers academy. The show of creativity progressed with felicitation and certification after students presented their skills by implementing their ideas along with technical know-how on vivid themes and concepts that were given to them. Students also participated in the live discussion that was based on absorbing beauty trends that promote organic and greenways of achieving beauty. Vivid looks displayed by the students manifested a spectrum of tradition and modern ferocity.

Mitali Johar quoted ‘ The creativity that was shown by students was young in approach and Cleopatra training academy has played a pivotal role in bringing the best out of these young minds. With vision and under the guidance of seasoned makeover expert Richa Aggarwal these aspiring beauty professionals are going to set new heights and I am immensely happy to be honoring them with felicitation.

Upcoming film Cheer Haran: The unseen side of 2016 riots

Directed by Kuldeep Ruhil, this hard hitting documentary unmasks the heinous violence that erupted during ‘Jaat Reservation Andolan’ in Haryana in 2016.

In February 2016, Haryana was hit with a major crisis when all of a sudden, a peaceful reservation agitation escalated to unexpected violence; from a reservation protest it turned into ugly caste riots. Law and order collapsed and stone pelting and arson destroyed properties worth hundred of crores. The most disturbing fact was the loss of innumerable young lives and hundreds being imprisoned.

It turned into a media circus with the pouring reports of women being gangraped by mobs during the riots. All kinds of unspeakable rumours were being circulated to make the situation worse. Was it all true, misinformation or fake news ?

According to the makers, Cheer Haran is a humble attempt to discover the reasons behind the protests and elements that triggered the violence. The film goes into the causes and repurcussions to alert the society about such conflicts.

Director Kuldeep Ruhil said, “Cheer Haran is an attempt to understand and dissect the mechanism of any violent human conflict.”

The film’s first poster was released all over the social media by the team today. Presented by Panorama Spotlight and produced by Twister Entertainment, the film will hit the cinemas in North India on January 29th. It is a Panorama Studios Distribution release.

Hun Ni Mudde Yaar: New Punjabi Movie Announced with Ammy Virk and Wamiqa Gabni

Produced by Navneet Virk and written and directed by Rakesh Dhawan, Ammy Virk Productions now presents a new film which is going to get released in 2021.

Besides Puada starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, and Qismat 2 – in which Ammy will once again be seen with Sargun Mehta and Tanya, 2021 will have this new film starring him as well.

Called Hun Ni Mudde Yaar 2, this film’s screenplay will also be written by Rakesh Dhawan.

In fact, the first title poster of the film was unveiled a few days ago by the team on social media.

From the title, it seems that Hun Ni Mudde Yaar 2 is based on friendships, separations and perhaps moving abroad. The exact theme of the film is for now, being kept under the wraps by the makers.

While Wamiwa Gabbi will be seen as the female lead of the film, the movie will also star actors like Sukhwinder Chahal, Mintu Kapa, Honey Matty, Pakistani actor Nasir Chinyoti among others.

Rhythm Boyz Entertainment extends unconditional support to farmers; removes all content from Jio Saavn

In the wake of controversial Agriculture Bill passed by the Indian government leading to farmers’ protests all over the country, a Punjabi film production house – Rhythm Boyz Entertainment – has removed the songs of all their films from Jio Saavn Digital store owned by Reliance Group.

Farmers believe that the newly passed three Agriculture laws will benefit big corporates like Reliance instead of the actual farmers.

Rhythm Boyz Entertainment owned by singer/actor Amrinder Gill’s brother Karaj Gill has been behind blockbuster Punjabi movies like Bambukat, Angrej, Lahoriye, Chal Mera Putt series, Love Punjab and more.

While the production house has already extended support to the farmers sitting at protest at New Delhi’s Singhu border, its decision to remove all its content from Jio Saavn store has given a new boost to the Farmers movement against the laws.

“Most of the content has already been removed from the Jio Saavn Digital Store and the instructions to remove the rest have already been given. We are extending full unconditional support to our farmer fraternity,” said Karaj Gill, the owner of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment.

It has been almost three weeks now that the farmers, not only from Punjab but others states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are protesting against the new Agriculture laws.

Several Punjabi artistes have shown their unconditional support including Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Nimrat Khaira, Sargun Mehta, Tarsem Jassar, Ranjit Bawa and many more.

Earlier the farmers leaders were supposed to have a meeting with the Indian cabinet ministers on 9th December but the meeting was called off as the farmers’ dealers didn’t like the offer made by Home Minister Amit Shah.

Now the issue has reached a deadlock and the farmers are considering to make the protest even more intense and larger.

When Kangana Ranaut, made light of the Farmers’ movement by calling certain people as terrorists, singer/actor Diljit Dosanjh gave her some befitting replies. Dosanjh was well-supported by other Punjabi artistes like Ranjit Bawa, Himanshi Khurana and Gippy Grewal.

According to certain news portals, in return Kangana Ranaut has blocked Himanshi Khurana and Ranjit Bawa from her Twitter profile.

Canadian Production House Brahmo Films To Ring in The New Year With ‘Punjabi Bollywood’ Magic, Announces Its Film ‘Rang Ratta’

Brahmo Films is excited to ring in the new year with their feature film ‘Rang Ratta'(Colour of Love) with Principal Photography beginning on December 31st, 2020 for what is bound to be a magical holiday inspired Punjabi language hit, filmed on Canadian soil.

‘Rang Ratta’s’ digital poster was unveiled to signal the official announcement of the film by the cast & crew of the upcoming film. Gurcharan Singh and Harcharan Singh of HRG Films will be filming on the sets around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)for 25 days with six of those days showcasing breathtaking views of Niagara Falls.

The film will star Roshan Prince who is an accomplished singer, producer, musician, songwriter and actor and will co-star with the beautiful and talented actress Payal Rajput , a winner of SIIMA -South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Female Debut in 2019. In this story, Prince and Rajput meet when a chance encounter happens due to u-turns in their destiny.

Together Rajput and Prince will navigate through their turbulent romance, all the while putting the spotlight on the beautiful backdrop of a classic Canadian winter. The supporting cast will include Punjabi film stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Mahabir Bhullar,Yaad Grewal, & Satwant Kaur.

The film will have high level of production values akin to a Bollywood movie thereby giving it a unique place in the Punjabi film industry.

Every Bollywood or Punjabi film is only complete with an energizing and upbeat Punjabi soundtrack and in this film we feature the voices of famous singers Jasbir Jassi, Mr. Kanwar Grewal, Roshan Prince and Viruss with music composed by Underrated, Romey Singh and Ullumanati.

Jagdeep Sidhu : All Set For His Next, Qismat 2

Jagdeep Sidhu, a name synonymous with super-hits in Punjabi film industry, is a writer and director who marked his debut in the field of direction with ‘Qismat’ and fetched a lot of appreciation for his work as soon as it got released.

Now the prolific director is all set to work magic once again in the sequel of Qismat – ‘Qismat 2’ which once again stars Sargun Mehta and Ammy Virk in the lead along with Tania.

Since 2018 Jagdeep Sidhu’s career has taken a very nice turn. While he earned a lot of success for penning down films like Harjeeta and Nikka Zaildar series, Sidhu plundered lots of praises for Qismat which he had written and directed himself.

Later, he kick started 2019 with ‘Guddiyan Patole’ as a writer and his outing in June 2019 in ‘Shadaa’ as a writer-director ended up breaking many records. Amid all this, he also made his Bollywood debut as a dialogue writer in the movie ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ starring Tapsee Pannu.

Further, in the beginning of 2020, Jagdeep Sidhu hooked the audience with a sweet romantic story – Sufna which starred Ammy Virk and Tania in the lead. The film was written and directed by Sidhu himself and became an instant Bollywood blockbuster. This romantic drama had released on Valentine’s Day.
Besides Punjabi movies, Jagdeep Sidhu has also worked as additional screenplay and dialogue writer in ‘Street Dancer 3D’, which got released on January 24th this year.

Not only this, the talented filmmaker’s daughter Rabab Kaur has also become a little celebrity by playing young ‘Teg’ a.k.a young Tania in the movie ‘Sufna’. A glimpse of her work is also seen in the song ‘Ammi’ of the same film.

Now the Punjabi audience is eagerly awaiting the release of Jagdeep Sidhu’s Qismat 2 which is expected to release in the summer of 2021.

Widow Colony 84: New Punjabi Movie Announced by Gippy Grewal

Widow Colony 84 is a new Punjabi movie announced under the label of Gippy Grewal’s Humble Motion Pictures. The film is based on the widows of men who lost their lives during anti-sikh riots in 1984.

Ever since the Indian government gave permission to re-open cinema halls and multiplexes allover the country, it’s been raining ‘film announcements’ in the film industry and Punjabi cinema is not behind either!
Now actor, producer, singer, writer, director – Gippy Grewal has announced another film under his own production banner – Humble Motion Pictures. The film is called ‘Widow Colony 84’ and its shoot will begun next year i.e. 2021.
The film is presumably based on the well-known ‘Widow Colony’ of Tilak Vihar, New Delhi. This place houses many women who had to rebuild their lives after their husbands lost their lives during 1984 anti-Sikh massacre.

Widow Colony Will Release on June 3, 2022

Punjabi movie Widow Colony 84 shall interestingly, be directed by Smeep Kang. Smeep Kang, who’s generally called the comedy king in Punjab for producing a plethora of comedy movies including the biggest blockbuster of all time Carry on Jatta 2, is also penning the story of this movie.
Besides Gippy Grewal, Widow Colony 84 will also star seasoned actor Gurpreet Ghuggi, who had last impressed the audiences worldwide with Gippy Grewal’s Ardaas Karaan.
Rest of the cast of the film is yet to be announced. It will be co-produced by Vinod Aswal and Bhana L.A while the project is being headed by Hardeep Dullat. The music of the movie will be released on Humble Music.

Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua 2 Shoot Begins With Simi Chahal

Punjabi movie Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua 2’s shoot has now commenced. It is the sequel of 2018’s blockbuster starring Amrinder Gill, Harish Verma, Simi Chahal and Aditi Sharma in the lead roles.

The original movie was a comic take on India’s unprecedented demonetisation that happened on 8th November 2016. The film was directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary and produced by Rhythm Boyz Entertainment led by Karaj Gill, who also happens to be Amrinder Gill’s brother.

Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua was highly appreciated for his unique content and was a runaway hit. It relaunched the career of Harish Verma who bagged many interesting offers after the success of this movie.

As far as the sequel is concerned, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua has one big change. The film will now be directed by Janjot Singh instead of Ksshitij Chaudhary.

Janjot Singh came into the limelight with Indo-Pak collaboration – Chal Mera Putt, a huge success at the box-office in year 2019.
