With his Manje Bistre 2 just about to get released, Gippy Grewal has given another good news to his fans by announcing the release of his thriller movie – Daaka – which is all set to hit the theatre on September 13.

The thriller is being produced by Humble Motion Pictures in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. This is going to be their first collaboration together. The film will be once again directed by Baljit Singh Deo and its shooting is still going on in areas surrounding Chandigarh. 

Along with Gippy Grewal, it stars his ‘Jatt James Bond’ co-star Zarine Khan. Besides being the lead and one of the producers, Gippy Grewal has written the story of the movie as well, while Naresh Kathooria penned the dialogues.

[h3] The release date of Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Sharma and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Arjun Patiala’ has been shifted to a new release date. Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit big screens on May 3. [/h3]

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh made an announcement through his Twitter account today that the release date of Hindi Film starring Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh has been postponed again. 

Arjun Patila will now release on July 19. 

Taran Adarsh wrote, “New release date for #ArjunPatiala… Will now release on 19 July 2019… Stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma… Directed by Rohit Jugraj… Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dinesh Vijan and Sandeep Leyzell.”

Earlier Arjun Patiala was slated to release on September 13, 2018, but it got postponed to May 3, 2019 instead – the same date when Punjabi film ‘Muklawa’ by Whitehill Studios was to be released. Then Muklawa got postponed for a 24th May release.

Now with the announcement of another release date, Diljit’s Arjun Patiala will clash with Gippy Grewal’s directorial Ardaas 2 in Punjab. Though Arjun Patiala is a Hindi Film but considering Diljit’s major fan base in Punjab, the film is expected to work more in Punjab. So, let’s see whether the makers avoid this clash or not!

While a lot of people are awaiting the moment when they’ll see Gippy and Sargun sharing the silver screen together, here at Iampunjaabi.com we’ve got to know a little bit more about the plot of the film. 

Till now it was assumed that the film will be a regular romantic comedy based on the journey between the two cities of Punjab, now some exclusive details have come up and it’s revealed that this film is just about that One Day this duo spend in the holy city of Amritsar. 

According to the team of Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh, this film will focus on an unusual love story which Punjabi audience might never have seen before in Punjabi cinema. 

Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh is scheduled for a May 24 (2019) release. 

Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh is produced by Sumit Dutt and is a Leostride Entertainment Production. The film is directed by Karan R Guliani with screenplay and dialogues by Naresh Kathooria and will have music by Jatinder Shah.

Today on her Instagram Punjabi heroine Saanvi Dhiman notified her fans about the shoot of her upcoming film – Yamla – in which she’ll be seen along with singer-turned-actor Rajvir Jawandha. 

Saanvi and Rajvir will be sharing the screen for the first time in ‘Yamla’. The movie will also star Gurpreet Ghuggi, Harbhy Sangha, and Navneet Kaur Dhillon in significant roles.

Directed by Rakesh Mehta, ‘Yamla’ will release under the banner of Golden Bridge Films and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.  Apart from this film, Rajvir will also be seen sharing screen with Kavita Kaushik and Karamjit Anmol in ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’.

One of the salient features of Nadhoo Khan is that it is the First Punjabi Period Film to be shot in a wide frame. Directed by Imran Sheikh, the DOP of the film is Soni Singh, who has made sure to give every frame of the teaser its unique colour, making it an ultimate treat for the eyes.  

The entire starcast including the lead pair Harish Verma and Wamiqa Gabbi looks endearing in a teaser that unfolds the richness of Punjab’s culture beautifully. What can be called as the ‘icing’ on the cake is the deep voice-over in the rich voice of director Imran Sheikh in the teaser, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the movie.

[h3]The 1989 Malayalam film – ‘Ramji Rao Speaking, on which the 2000 Hindi film – Hera Pheri starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty was made, will now have its Punjabi version starring none other than Binnu Dhillon.[/h3]

A great news has just come in. We all know about Hindi film, Hera Pheri released in 2000 which is touted as one of the best ever Bollywood comedies starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and the likes of Paresh Rawal. Do you know Hera Pheri was a remake of a Malayalam movie – Ramji Rao Speaking, and now our Punjabi filmmakers have acquired the rights of the original and they are casting none other than Punjabi cinema’s favorite Binnu Dhillon for the same! 

Punjabi ‘Hera Pheri’ was announced today itself by Omjee Group owner, Munish Sahni on his Facebook page. When we asked him whether the film is a remake of the Hindi one or something totally new in Punjabi, he confirmed that Punjabi Hera Pheri is the official remake of Ramji Rao Speaking!

Now as your curiosity is building, let us also tell you that Hera Pheri will also star Raj Singh Bedi and Gurpreet Ghuggi in the movie. We can guess that the role of Akshay shall be played by Binnu but let’s see who plays Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal’s character in our Punjabi version.

Hera Pheri shall be bankrolled by Movie Studioz in association with Five River Films and Omjee Studios. The film shall be directed by the King of Comedies – Smeep Kang. It will release on 24th April 2020.

[h3]Uday Chopra who was a known face in Bollywood in the 2000s is most probably going through an upsetting phase in life. At least, his recent tweets (which he later, ‘deleted’) suggest so! Known for ‘Dhoom’ franchise films, Uday Chopra, posted some tweets, which many saw were “suicidal” in nature on Friday. [/h3]

However, several of his fans read his tweets and came forward to offer their emotional support to him.

On Friday, Uday confessed through a tweet that he is not okay. Followed by another tweet, which talked about his suicidal tendency. Uday compared deactivating his Twitter account to being close to death.
