Paani Ch Madhaani To Mark the Debut of Dara Motion Pictures as Producer

Despite being the backbone of the Film industry, Producers are probably the least recognized and, at the same time, the most difficult to define professionals of the Film fraternity. With the ever-growing scale of the Punjabi Film industry, more and more people are coming forward to try their luck in this glamorous world. To add another name to the list, Sunny Raj, and Prabhjot Sidhu are all set with their first release ‘Paani Ch Madhaani’ under Dara Motion Pictures.

Vijay Kumar Arora helmed comedy period drama ‘Paani Ch Madhaani’ features Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa in the lead roles along with Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, Rupinder Rupi, Iftikhar Thakur, Harby Sangha in prominent roles.

Talking about his debut venture, Producer Prabhjot Sidhu, said, “I have always been a great admirer of Punjabi culture and language. Being a NRI Punjabi, I always tried to stay true to my roots. My childhood curiosity to learn folk instruments further persuaded me to make a movie in this genre. When we were planning this project, I could not think of anyone but Gippy Grewal to be part of my first venture.”

This period drama not only will make youth fascinate but at the same time will make the mature audience remember their old days.

“Talking about the female lead of the film, Neeru Bajwa was our first and only choice and her being on board along with Gippy Grewal to share screen after a decade was a cherry on the cake that made the audience a lot more excited to see them as a couple,” he further added.

Paani Ch Madhaani is all set to hit the theatres on 5th November 2021.

Pind Pind: Paani Ch Madhaani’s Latest Track Celebrates The Bond of Friendship

‘Paani Ch Madhaani’ movie’s first song ‘Jean’ did extremely well and became the most viewed song worldwide with 9.1million views and 51000+ comments, after the intro of the film’s trailer and a bonus track of the song, is on the lips of every other person. The second song of the film was released this morning that has caught eyeballs.

The second song titled, ‘Pind-Pind’ shows the quality time between the friends is more likely brothers. The lyrics of the song have been written by Happy Raikoti, and the music has been composed by Jatinder Shah. The video is a mixture of true flavours of friendship and joy. The retro style of the film and the music has raised the graph of the song with rhythmic patterns of the 1980s. Just as the film this song is also released under the label Humble Music.

Commenting on the song, Gippy says, “Numbers don’t really fascinate me, but instead it is the audience’s appreciation which I crave for. However, this song is not all mine, it is the effort of my whole team. I just hope that we will be able to cherish the taste of the audience. I am extremely thankful to everyone and especially almighty for showering us with this much love and blessings.”

Gippy Grewal/Neeru Bajwa: The Comeback of Punjabi Film Industry’s Favourite Duo

When we talk about the classic movies of the Punjabi film industry, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011) and Mel Karade Rabba (2010) are two movies that definitely top the list.

Reckoned to be the superhit Punjabi romantic comedy drama movies of that era, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya and Mel Karade Rabba both had a fun and interesting storyline combined with a foot tapping music that was appreciated by Punjabis across the globe.

Fast forward to 2021, the famous duo of Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa are all set to make a trailblazing comeback with not just one, but three unique movies in the next few months.

Their recently upcoming Punjabi movie, Paani Ch Madhaani is a retro drama movie set in the 1980s, which is sure to take you down the memory lane. The movie’s first track, Jean, which was recently launched at the official YouTube channel of Humble Music left the fans feeling nostalgic!

Paani Ch Madhaani is scheduled to release this Diwali.

Up next is Shava Ni Girdhari Lal, a Punjabi period comedy drama movie that has its plot set in the 1940s. Directed by Gippy Grewal from a screenplay co-written with Rana Ranbir, Shava Ni Girdhari Lal is produced by Gippy Grewal, Vashu Bhagnani and Ashu Munish Sahani under the banners of Humble Motion Pictures, Pooja Entertainment and Omjee Star Studios. The movie stars Gippy Grewal, Neeru Bajwa, and Himanshi Khurana in the lead roles. It is scheduled to release on 17th December 2021.

That’s not all! Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa will also be seen sharing the screen in the Punjabi comedy drama movie, Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi. The movie is anticipated to have a bone-tickling storyline that revolves around the life of a Punjabi girl. Directed by Maneesh Bhatt and produced by Gippy Grewal, Ashu Munish Sahni, and Aniket Kawade under the banner of Humble Motion Pictures and Omjee Star Studios, Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi is slated to release on 11th February, 2022.

Paani Ch Madhaani’s Latest Track Jean Leaves Fans Feeling Nostalgic

Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa starrer ‘Paani Ch Madhaani’ is all set to take its fans through a retro experience on 5th November. Rhe movie is set in the era of the 1980s, when people enjoyed listening to singers like Chamkila, Kuldip Manak and other very renowned singers.

And since the movie is based on music, you will enjoy six different songs only on Humble Music, picturised on Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa who themselves will be portrayed as singers in the film. It is a very big task and a huge responsibility for a film director and of course the music composer to make the film sync into the music and vice-versa.

The music has been directed by one of the popular and talented music composers, Jatinder Shah. Gippy Grewal and Shah Ji have been working together for at least fourteen years now, maybe which is the reason he had so much faith in Shah Ji and gave him this impeccable project. Shah Ji feels so blessed and fortunate to have the chance to do this project as he says,” we have grown up listening to folk music, so it helped us to create every inch of the music with the same style and pattern”.

As we see the trailer of the film and listen to the music, we can easily make out that the music is made with a lot of effort and hard work. The songs have been beautifully sung by our favourite singers Gippy Grewal, Afsaana Khan, Ranjit Bawa and Jasbir Jassi. It will be for the first time that we are going to have them all singing on the same album as a team and surely amuse the audience.

Shah Ji further adds,” The song that is going to be released today has a very difficult pattern of rhythms made after 40 years using classical musical instruments, whose names might have not even been heard by most of the people. As digital music changes at a fast pace nowadays, it is important to create this kind of film so that our legacy remains alive.”

The songs for the movie are written by our very own treasured writer Happy Raikoti, as we all know how he pens down his heart out, but this was a very difficult and yet a different task for him as he has never written songs for a period film. We have always been overjoyed by his depth of words and the kind of songs he writes but this time we will be surprised by his work.

Moosa Jatt “Sold Out”, Says Renowned Punjabi film producer; Makers Lash Out At Unscrupulous Critic Reviews

Moosa Jatt, a Punjabi film starring noted Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, released overseas last week while in India, the movie hit the theatres this Friday – 8th October.

According to some members of the Punjabi film fraternity including the producer of Moosa Jatt, Rrupaali Gupta, some people due to their ulterior motives, are spreading negative rumours about the movie’s success overseas, which includes false reporting of theatre turnout as well as unscrupulous critic reviews, which according to Rrupaali Gupta, were written even before the release of the film.

Lamenting the personal attacks made on some of the actors of Moosa Jatt, including their physical characteristics, producer Rrupaali Gupta, in a detailed Facebook post in Punjabi said that “even though it’s everyone’s right to express their opinion about a particular film, but doing so without even watching the film and attacking someone personally is an illustration of an extremely callous behaviour.”

Further noted Bollywood and Punjabi film producer, J.S. Cheema also expressed his resentment against the “propaganda” being carried out against the film especially regarding its Overseas success. Cheema is a National award-winning producer renowned for his film, Chann Pardesee in 1980.

Narrating his personal account, he said, ”

In his Facebook post, he said:

Talking of the film MOOSA JATT. When the film released overseas on 1st October and did not release in India, it was widely circulated on social media by “self styled critics” and “knowledgeable circles” that the film has been rejected by the audiences abroad. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to go and watch the film in its second week at a theater in Surrey, Canada. To my surprise the show was sold-out and my friends and I had to return disappointed.

Now I can’t figure out if that comment about “rejection by the overseas audience” was an anti propaganda by vested interests or some jealous pots.

For the sceptics who want details here they are: the 4:15pm show at Strawberry Hill Cineplex on 9th October was sold out. Check it out”
