The decision was announced by the film’s producers, to avoid clash with another Punjabi movie. Incidentally, Gippy Grewal’s Humble Motion Pictures announced only day before that the actor is coming up with Akaal, hus next film on 10th April 2025 — the same date which was earlier finalised by the makers of Saunkan Saunkney 2.
The film features a stellar cast with Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira reprising their roles. Interestingly, Saunkan Saunkney was the biggest hit of 2022, and was directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. However, the sequel is being directed by Smeep Kang and written by Amberdeep Singh.
