Whitehill Studios- one of Punjab’s most renowned and prolific production studios collaborated with VR Mall at Mohali last evening to organise a star-studded premiere of their latest romantic film, Lekh.
The movie that stars Tania and Gurnam Bhullar in the lead roles, has already been winning hearts allover the world with its astounding opening. Several theatres all across Punjab have reported a houseful opening of the movie (box-office figures are awaited yet) and it seems that Lekh is all set to become another record-breaking blockbuster – something that Whitehill Studios is famous for.

Lekh has been bankrolled by Manmord Sidhu and Gunbir Singh Sidhu of Whitehill studios, which is famous for movies like Jatt and Juliet series, Sardaarji series, Punjab 1984, Muklawa and many more. The film has been directed by debutante Manvir Brar and written by Qismat, Shadaa and Sufna’s writer – Jagdeep Sidhu. The film’s music has been composed by B Praak and songs have been written by Jaani.
One of the most-awaited Punjabi movies of 2021, Honsla Rakh is all set to hit the silver screen on 15th October and the Punjabi movie lovers are already seen to be counting days for the movie’s release.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Shehnaaz Gill, and Shinda Grewal in the lead roles, Honsla Rakh is anticipated to be a light-hearted romantic comedy drama movie.
Set in the backdrop of Vancouver, Canada, Honsla Rakh has warmth at its center, and it deals with the emotional bond between a father and his child, and the love between men and women in these modern times.

Honsla Rakh is going to be Shehnaz Gill’s third Punjabi movie. She has starred in two Punjabi movies before titled ‘Daaka’ with Gippy Grewal and ‘Kala Shah Kala’ with Binnu Dhillon.
The trailer depicts the topsy-turvy journey of a single father – played by Diljit Dosanjh – who has to go through his share of struggles to keep his son (played by Shinda Grewal) happy and his married life intact. While Shehnaaz Gill, presumably plays the role of Diljit’s girlfriend, it seems from the trailer that Sonam Bajwa is his long-term partner.
Honsla Rakh is touted to be a comedy flick and is jointly produced by Diljit Dosanjh and Daljit Thind of Thind Motion Pictures. The movie has been directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, who has helmed films like Kala Shah Kala and Jhalle in the past.
It has just been a few months since Punjabi singer and actor, Ammy Virk and Punjabi actress and model, Sonam Bajwa won hearts for the Punjabi romantic drama movie, Puaada. And now, the duo is all geared up for another Punjabi entertaining movie titled Sher Bagga!
