Sonam Bajwa Shuts Down ‘IPL vs Godday Godday Chaa’ Debate with Perfect Reply on Twitter”

Social media was abuzz as Sonam Bajwa, one of the most popular actresses in Punjabi cinema, shared the trailer of her upcoming movie “Godday Godday Chaa”. While most of her fans were in awe of the trailer, a Twitter user raised a concern that who would watch the movie when the IPL is going on.

Sonam Bajwa, known for her quick wit and sass, replied in Punjabi, “Haan jehde cinema nu te mainu pyaar karde aa oh zaroor dekhange. Tussi na vekheyo…” which roughly translates to “Those who love Punjabi cinema and me will surely watch it, you don’t watch.”

Directed by national award-winning filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Zee Studios in association with V.H Entertainment, “Godday Godday Chaa” is all set to release on 19th May. Along with Sonam Bajwa, the movie also stars superstar Tania, with whom Sonam had previously appeared in the 2019 hit movie, “Guddiyan Patole”. The male leads are played by Gitaz Bindrakhia and Gurjazz, while veteran actress Nirmal Rishi plays a significant role in the movie.

Godday Godday Chaa : Sonam Bajwa & Tania Come Together For Zee Studios’ Next, Release Date Announced

Zee Studios in association with V.H Entertainment announce the release date for their upcoming film ‘Godday Godday Chaa,’ the Sonam Bajwa starrer to release on 26th May 2023.

Zee Studios has been pioneering massive records in the regional entertainment business along with immense success in mainstream Bollywood films. Zee Studios’ regional cinema was received well by the audience last year. Continuing its momentum, Zee Studios is all set to release its next film, ‘Godday Godday Chaa’ in association with V.H Entertainment on 26th May 2023.

The film stars Sonam Bajwa, Tania, Gitaz Bindrakhia and Gurjazz in pivotal roles. ‘Godday Godday Chaa’ is written by ‘Qismat 2’ fame Jagdeep Sidhu and shall be directed by the National award-winning director (Harjeeta) Vijay Kumar Arora who also directed the superhit film, ‘Guddiyan Patole.’

Shariq Patel, CBO, Zee Studios, added, “Godday Godday Chaa’ is a thought-provoking take against the male chauvinist. We believe it is essential to tell such stories that redefine women empowerment with dollops of entertainment.”

Vijay k Arora, director of the film further shared, “‘Godday Godday Chaa’ is a heart-warming satire on the male-dominated society of the 90s. It depicts how women took a stand for themselves and created a breakthrough. We are sure the audiences are going to love the film!”

One of the most prolific film production houses in Punjab, Whitehill Studios’ upcoming movie, Jind Mahi has already become the talk of the town with its music being one of the keyfactors behind its popularity besides of course, the much-loved trailer.

The latest song which has been released by the makers is Baahn Fadke which is a fun dance number with a beautiful folk vibe to it.

Sung by Gurlez Akhtar and Dilpreet Dhillon, the video of the song features the lead duo, Sonam Bajwa and Ajay Sarkaria.

Jind Mahi Promises a Fresh Hue of Love in Pollywood

Ever since the official trailer of Jind Mahi has been dropped by White Hill Studios, Punjabi movie lovers cannot keep calm about the movie’s release!

With Sonam Bajwa, Ajay Sarkaria and Gurnam Bhullar in the lead roles, Jind Mahi traces the story of two young Punjabis who are earning their living abroad.

As the trailer unfolds, we witness Sonam Bajwa as ‘Laddo’ in a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl personality, which she has aced to the core! And with these positive vibes, how could a guy-next-door not fall in love with her? So, that’s exactly what happens when Ajay Sarkaria falls in love with her, only to find out that she (probably!) likes someone else. However, true love is not worth giving up so easily and that is what keeps Ajay going.

Sonam recently also took to social media to express her gratitude for being a part of this movie. Needless to say, this movie has the capacity to become one of the most iconic Punjabi romantic drama movies in the history of Punjabi entertainment.

Sonam Bajwa and Ajay Sarkaria’s ‘Jind Mahi’ To Be Released On This Day

Originally scheduled for a July 8 release (clashing with Jimmy Sheirgill’s Shareek 2), Sonam Bajwa and Ajay Sarkaria’s ‘Jind Mahi’ has now been postponed.

This Whitehill Studios film will instead release on August 5 this year and mark the directorial debut of Sameer Pannu’s, who has already worked as an assistant director in Whitehill Studios’ other successful films including Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa’s 2019 blockbuster Muklawa.

This is not the first time though that Ajay Sarkaria and Sonam Bajwa will be appearing on the big screen together. The duo has already worked together Whitehil Studios’ Ardab Mutiyaran (2019), which was directed by Manav Shah.

The new release date of Jind Mahi was announced by Sonam Bajwa herself on her official Instagram page.
