Chal Mera Putt: The comedy – drama Punjabi movie is slated to release worldwide on 26^th . 

 

These days, Punjabis are seen spreading their wings across foreign lands and while it appears to be a fairytale when seen at a glance, the challenges that they encounter are fathomless and Amrinder Gill & Simi Chahal’s upcoming Punjabi movie provides an insider’s view into the same.

A light-hearted comedy drama movie, Chal Mera Putt narrates the story of a group of illegal immigrants who are living in the city of Birmingham, United Kingdom. The film explores the struggles they face, the lasting friendships they make and the insurmountable challenges they overcome while trying to get their permanent residency.

It was only a few days ahead of the release when the lead actors of the movie, Amrinder Gill who will be seen playing the role of Jinder and Simi Chahal who will be seen in the shoes of Savy took to their social media handles to announce Chal Mera Putt’s release on 26^th July. Gill also disclosed that it is an Indo-Pakistan collaboration with many Pakistani actors on-board. “Thanks for everything Thakur saab, Nasir bhaji and Akram bhaji. Learnt a lot from you. #chalmeraputt 26th July worldwide,” he shared.

The feature film directorial debut of Janjot Singh, Chal Mera Putt is co-produced Karaj Gill and Ashu Munish Sahni under the label of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, Gillz Network and Omjee Star Studios. Chal Mera Putt stars Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal, Gurshabad, and Hardeep Gill. The movie also stars some famous Pakistani actors including Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti and Akramudas.

Chal Mera Putt is slated to release worldwide on 26^th July, 2019.

Beating many Bollywood films released yesterday, Punjabi film ‘Chal Mera Putt’ has registerd a remarkable opening of around Rs 80 Lakh in Punjab itself and has emerged as the biggest opener of 2019 in countries like UK and Australia. 

The feature film directorial debut of Janjot Singh, Chal Mera Putt received a whooping response on the first day of its release. While some people enjoyed watching Amrinder Gill in his mostly calm & poised avtar and Simi Chahal in her bubbly self, the others loved the intriguing storyline and supporting cast.

Co-produced by Karaj Gill and Ashu Munish Sahni under the label of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, Gillz Network and Omjee Star Studios, Chal Mera Putt stars Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal, Gurshabad, Hardeep Gill, Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti and Akram Udas.

A story of a group of illegal immigrants who are living in the city of Birmingham, United Kingdom, the movie explores the challenges they face and the lasting friendships they make while trying to get their permanent residency.

 “Chal Mera Putt has the ideal blend of comedy as well as reality. While we enjoyed watching the light-hearted comic element of the movie, the realistic element of how illegal immigrants tend to suffer in a foreign land kept us glued till the end. It was a nice and entertaining experience,” stated Gurwinder, an entrepreneur based in Australia.

“The movie is good and the star-cast has really done an amazing job, especially Hardeep Gill who won hearts with his jovial performance as a ‘Dholi’,” shared Harsheen Kaur from New Zealand.

Gurleen, a graduation student from Ludhiana, Punjab shared, “I and my family really enjoyed watching how Punjabis from India and Pakistan joined hands and worked in unison to earn a living. The storyline was adept and engaging.”

The wait for Binnu Dhillon fans is over now. Their favorite is coming back in another film titled Naukar Vahuti Da, the first official look of which shall be released tomorrow.

Directed by Smeep Kang, the movie has been produced by Rohit Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Ruchi Trehan and Ashu Munish Sahni. It is slated to release on 23rd August. 

Along with Binnu Dhillon, the movie has Kulraj Randhawa in the lead, who will be playing Binnu’s wife in the film. NVD will feature a married man’s struggle in an entertaining way.

Black Roz Ryan Media and Human Music are presenting a new Punjabi film titled, MUSAFIR featuring Maninder Bhuttar’s “Sakhiyaan” fame model, Neha Malik. 

Neha took down to her Instagram handle to share pictures from her first day of shooting. The shoot of the film was started at a Gurudwara.

Besides, Sakhiyaan, Neha Malik is known for her appearances in many other music videos. She has also worked in the Hindi film ‘Bhanwari Ka Jaal’. She gained popularity from the song ‘Dhoop Mei Na Chal’ by Ramji Gulati.

Currently occupied in promoting their Punjabi film, Munda Hi Chahida, the jodi of Harish Verma and Rubina Bajwa is giving new fashion goals for the summer. Twinning, the duo looked gorgeously fresh in white Tees in pictures they posted on their social media profiles. 

While Rubina paired this Munda Hi Chahida labeled T-shirt with blue denims, Harish teamed it up in light gray distressed jeans. The look is from their Jalandhar promotional tour.

Releasing this Friday (12th July), Munda Hi Chahida is produced by Rubina’s elder sister, Neeru Bajwa along with Sri Narottam Films. The film is a directorial debut of Santosh Thite and Deepak Thapar.

“It’s time Bollywood stop recreating/remixing old classic film soundtracks. There’s no harm in recreating a song but the quality, instrumentation and the output in doing so is sad and pathetic. Is it because there is no creativity left or is it because they want to encash on super popularity of the old songs?” tweeted Baba. 

“Please tap the right talent, as we have it in abundance here, and stop destroying and ruining the original. It’s become more of copywood than Bollywood,” he added.
