Harbhajan Mann, who’s all set to make a comeback as an actor in Punjabi cinema after about four years, has released the first look poster of his upcoming Punjabi movie ‘P.R.’. 

This Manmohan Singh directorial will release on 15th May 2020 and alongside Harbhajan Mann, P.R. will star Delbar Arya as one of the leads. This will be Delbar’s first Punjabi movie as an actress. 

Sharing the first poster of P.R. on social media, Harbhajan Mann penned a long note describing his and director Manmohan Singh’s journey in Punjabi cinema. He wrote:

“Today I am delighted & honoured to announce that on 15th May 2020, the film “P.R.” will be releasing in cinemas worldwide. This is not just my next film, it’s rather a film that belongs to all of you as well, as it’s roots are aligned to the days in 1999 when myself and the most renowned cinematographer of Bollywood at the time, Manmohan Singh ji, would have conversations on the sets of my music videos, deeply concerned about the state of Punjabi cinema. It’s from those conversations that the journey towards “Jee Aayan Nu” began, a film which connected me to all of you and your love & blessings throughout the path of my cinematic career.

The following years saw the release of films like “Asa Nu Maan Watna Da”, “Dil Apna Punjabi”, “Mitti Wajan Maardi”, and “Mera Pind- My Home” which all contained a special message and commentary on the everyday lives of people.
Now on 15th May 2020, “P.R.” will be another such film, once again with Manmohan Singh at the helm as director and myself in front of the camera, continuing on the vision we had for Punjabi cinema.
Presented by Sarang Films and HM Records, we hope “P.R.” will be given the same generous amount of love as you have given to all the films before. We are excited to elevate the quality and depth of the stories and presentation of Punjabi cinema. See you at the cinemas on 15th May 2020.”

Besides Delbar and Harbhajan Mann, P.R. will also star Kanwaljit Singh, Sardool Sikander, Amar Noorie, Karamjit Anmol, Mannu Sandhu, Kamaljeet Neeru and Gursharan Mann in significant roles. 
The movie has been produced by Harvinder Saran, Darshan S. Rangi and Gurvinder Singh.

Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath Sharma were blessed by a baby girl last month. Since the birth of the child, the duo hadn’t shared the pic of their little-one.

Now the couple has not just shared the pictures of their daughter but also revealed the name of her as well.

Named ‘Anayra’ which in Sanskrit means ‘Happiness’, the girl’s pictures became viral as soon as they were uploaded by her father Kapil Sharma on his instagram profile.

The photo of Anayra received lakhs of likes within just a few minutes of its upload on Instagram. The fans as well as fellow celebrities are pouring their wishes to the newly blessed parents and the little munchkin, Anayra. 

The first photo shows Anayra wearing a cute off-white onesie. In the second picture, she is cutely snuggled in Kapil’s arms while mom Ginni joins them in the frame.

While sharing the pictures of little Anayra, Kapil Sharma wrote on his Instagram post: “Meet our piece of heart, Anayra Sharma.”

We hope that just like her name, Anayra brings a lot of happiness to her parents’ life. Well, which kid doesn’t, anyway?

Many of Kapil Sharma’s friends from the industry commented on the photos, sending in their love and good wishes for the baby. Actress Hina Khan commented, “Mashallah.” Sisters Neeti and Mukti Mohan commented on the name. Mukti said, “Awieeee SquishidiSquishhhh❤️ Kapu Partner, A se naam? Attendance mein pehele naam ayega.”

On December 10, the excited first-time father, Kapil had shared the news of the birth of his first child on Twitter: “Blessed to have a baby girl. Need your blessings. Love you all, Jai mata di,” he had posted.

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath have known each other since their college days. They entered the nuptial bond on December 12, 2018 via a Hindu ceremony in Jalandhar.

Aditi Sharma, who garnered a lot of praise for her first Punjabi movie, Angrej in 2015 is back with Satinder Sartaj for new Punjabi movie of 2020 titled ‘Ikko Mikke’. 

While Satinder Sartaj was last seen in a Hollywood movie ‘Black Prince’ along with Bollywood veteran ‘Shabana Azmi’, he then continued to focus only on his music career. 

However, now to amuse his fans, Satinder Sartaj has signed a new Punjabi film called ‘Ikko Mikke’ – the first poster of which has been released today. 

The poster was shared by Sartaaj himself on his Instagram account today. He also announced the release date of Ikko Mikke – The Soulmates – on his profile along with the picture.

The beautiful first look of Ikko Mikke (The Soulmates) suggests it to be a romantic film with a lot of depth just like Satinder Sartaaj’s songs are.

Exchanging glances, wearing modern clothes, Sartaaj and Aditi Sharma are seen to be having a cup of tea/coffee in the poster. So, the poster has both a modern and an ethereal feel to it, considering the way the duo’s picture has been graphically enhanced. 

The first poster of Ikko Mikke certainly confirms that the movie isn’t going to be a period one as Aditi Sharma is mostly famous for. Whether it was Angrej, a guest appearance in Golak, Bugni, Bank Te Batua, Subedar Joginder Singh or Laatu, Aditi’s Punjabi film career is dotted with period dramas only. 

So, it will be a great joy for her fans to see their favorite diva in a modern avatar in Ikko Mikke – The Soulmates. 

As far as the film’s credits are concerned, Ikko Mikke – The Soulmates – has been written and directed by Pankaj Verma. Although it was initially titled as ‘Anparh Akkhian’, but due to some reasons the makers changed its title. 

Ikko Mikke (The Soulmates) will release on March 13, 2020.

Punjabi singer and actor Gagan Kokri along with another Punjabi artiste Harsimran did some applause-worthy humanitarian work to help out the victims of Australian Bushfire that wreaked havoc in the continent-country few weeks ago. 

 While the world-over celebrities, social activists, politicians and even common public are doing their bit to help people as well as affected animals during the recent Australian wild bushfire, Australia-based Punjabi singer and actor Gagan Kokri also came forward to contribute towards the cause. 

Along with Kokri, singer Harsimran also became a part of generating funds for the victims of Australian wildfire. The duo of Gagan Kokri and Harsimran actually performed live for a fund-raising event in the state of Victoria in Australia. 

From this fund-raising live concert, these Punjabi singers were able to manage a huge sum of $54,123. The proceeds of this event will go towards the rehabilitation of over 2000 houses that got damaged in the bushfire. 

It may be recalled that the Australian Bushfire didn’t just affect the human beings and their properties but killed more than 50 crore wild animals that got charred to death in this natural calamity. 

While sharing a photo of the fund-raising event amount cheque, Gagan Kokri thanked the citizens of Melbourne for coming to watch their event which led towards a noble contribution. 

In his Instagram post, Kokri said,

“Here u go ???? Thanx to all the INDIAN COMMUNITY of MELBOURNE ???? it’s $54,213 from BUSHFIRE RELIEF CONCERT for BUSHFIRE VICTIMS and its all coz of you ???? TUHADA sab da boht boht dhanwaad and I hope tuhanu sab nu parmaatma boht sukhi rakhe ????

Jagdeep Sidhu, who is one of the star directors of Punjabi cinema – having given super-successful films like Shadaa and Qismat, is now all set for his next Punjabi movie in 2020 called ‘Sufna’. Recently his comments on Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak’ received enormous appreciation from fans. 

While today Ammy Virk and Tania’s Sufna’s first song was released by the makers, the director of the movie Jagdeep Sidhu made sure to also express his opinion on the latest Bollywood movie Chhapaak starring Deepika Padukone and based on the life of an acid-attack survivor. 

Jagdeep Sidhu shared a photo collage of Deepika Padukone along with Laxmi Agarwal and director Meghna Gulazar and wrote, “please watch chhapak… it will awake ur humanity”.

Jagdeep Sidhu’s Sufna on the other hand, is a romantic film that’s going to release on 14th February. Starring Ammy Virk and Tania in the lead, the first song of the movie, Qubool A was released today. 

The film is produced by Panj Paani Films.

The teaser of Ik Sandhu Hunda Si has been released by Humble Motion pictures today and starring Gippy Grewal in the lead, the film is directed by Rakesh Mehta. Here’s our review:

After hooking up the audience with the ‘pre-teaser’, the team of Ik Sandhu Hunda Si – Gippy Grewal and Humble Motion Pictures’ first Punjabi movie in 2020 –  have doled out its Teaser now, which has many impressive elements in it to grip the audience’s attention further and make them curious about the film, in general. 

Ik Sandhu Hunda Si Releases On 28th February 2020

Depicting the life of a student named ‘Sandhu’, this Rakesh Mehta directorial seems to be a proper action thriller that has a meaningful content to back it. The teaser shows that the lead character has some past love story which has made him fiercely strong to protect his loved ones at any cost. 

The tagline: “Eh kahani kalli Sandhu de pyaar di hi nahi yaari di vi hai.. duniya dekhugi‬” also hints at “friendship” being a strong theme of the movie as well. 

The teaser is sleek and fully action-packed. The action director of the film is Sham Kaushal, who is a well-known action director in Bollywood and also happens to be actor Vicky Kaushal’s father.

Brilliantly edited, Ik Sandhu Hunda Si’s teaser has all the potential to hold the audience attention till its trailer’s release.

A glimpse of the heroine Neha Sharma in the teaser gives an impression that even the female lead isn’t added in the movie just as a glamour-quotient but in fact, has some very strong role in it.
