Diljit Dosanjh heavily criticised For Promoting A “Valentine Song” Amidst National Tragedy

On one hand, the nation is mourning owing to Pulwana Terrorist Attack which resulted in the loss of more than 40 soldiers’ lives including four from Punjab, it seems that some Punjabi celebrities are not much in tune with what’s happening in our country.

While Punjabi celebs like Ammy Virk and Ranjit Bawa have gone ahead to offer financial help to the martyrs’ families in Punjab, and people like Binnu Dhillon stopped promoting his film, Punjabi singer/actor Diljit Dosanjh is even now promoting his “Valentine’s Day” song – Gabru Nu. Close behind is Gippy Grewal, who also received some backlash for posting a ‘Manje Bistre 2’ promotional images.

Diljit’s Gabru Nu released on 14th Feb and the tragedy occured on the same evening as well. However, both on 15th and 16th Feb, Diljit Dosanjh has been posting about his song and this act of his, it seems hasn’t gone down too well with his fans.

Diljit Dosanjh had even pinned the “Perfect Date Night” Post On Twitter.

Perhaps fans are especially angry from Diljit because he is considered as the “role model” and youth icon by many.

Ranjit Bawa Comes Forward To Extend Financial Help To Pulwama Martyrs’ Families

After Ammy Virk, Punjabi singer/actor Ranjit Bawa has shown the spirit of true patriotism and large-heartedness by extending financial help to the families of martyrs from Punjab who sacrificed their lives for the protection of their nation in the dastardly Pulwama terrorist attack.

Ranjit Bawa declared on Facebook today that though whatever amounts he donates it can never make up for the loss that the families have suffered, yet he would like to offer Rs 2.5 lakh each to the martyred soldiers’ families. Ranjit Bawa, who’ll soon be seen in Pankaj Batra’s High End Yaariyaan (releasing on 22nd February) made this announcement on his Facebook page today.

We salute Ranjit Bawa for actually coming forward and offering help, not only in the form of prayers but also, financially!

On 14th February, A terrorist drove up a car carrying 60 kg of RDX explosives next to a security convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway and triggered the explosives in what is the worst terror attack to take place in Kashmir since the start of the century. More than 40 Indian Jawans have been reported to have lost their lives.

Ammy Virk Decides To Donate Rs 10 Lakh To Martyrs in Pulwama Terrror Attack

While most celebrities have expressed their sadness on their social media regarding the recent terror attack on Indian CRPF Jawans in Pulwama district of J&K, Ammy Virk takes a step forward and announced today that he wants to extend help to the families of the fallen servicemen from Punjab who lost their life in the Pulwana attack.

In a big statement on social media, Ammy Virk wrote in both Punjabi and English :

It may be brought to notice that Ammy Virk, owner of production house – Village Studios – decided to even postpone the title track of his upcoming film – Guddiyan Patole( starring Gurnam Bhullar and Sonam Bajwa) in the wake of this national tragedy. He said that his conscience “couldn’t allow him to release a ‘Happy Song’ when the entire nation was crying.”

We certainly salute the spirit of patriotism in Ammy Virk. He’s certainly not just limited his emotions to only social media, rather he’s gone ahead to do something tanglible for the martyrs’ families.

Now See Jazzy B Along With Akshay Kumar in KESARI

Punjabis are making their presence felt allover the world including Bollywood. Now according to reports, Jazzy B is going to be a part of a Bollywood project as well. The Crown Prince of Bhangra will now play a crucial part in one of the most awaited films of 2019 – Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar.

While sharing the news with his fans on his official Instagram account, Jazzy B wrote: “Feel so proud to be a part of this project by Akshay Bhaji and the whole team.”

According to reports Jazzy B is playing a crucial role in Kesari.

Besides Akshay, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Kesari’ is a war drama which is based on the epic Battle of Saragarhi fought in 1897. It tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh, played by Akshay Kumar.

The trailer of the film is releasing on February 21 while the film is releasing on March 21.

We’re yet to find out whether Jazzy B will be acting in the movie or singing in it. If reports are to be believed, Jazzy B is also lending his voice to the anthem of Kesari.

Team Guddiyan Patole Postpones Release Of Title Song Due To Pulwama Attack

From Binnu Dhillon, Gippy Grewal, Diljit Dosanjh, Jassie Gill to many more, Punjabi celebs have condemned the dastardly attack on our CRPF Jawans that took place in Pulwana district of Jammu and Kashmir, yesterday.

Ammy Virk, who is producing Guddiyan Patole (releasing on 8th March) made a big decision today when he decided to postpone the title song from the film. The song was due to get released today evening. However, it shall now release sometime tomorrow.

Ammy Virk, the owner of ‘Villagers Film Studio’ has said on Instagram that the team is not willing to release the song today. Ammy says that the team is so upset with our 40-50 soldiers dying at Pulwama that they are not willing to release a happy dance song.

Naukar Vahuti Da: Kulraj Randhawa And Binnu Dhillon To Star As Married Couple

Rohit Kumar-Sanjeev Kumar and Rangrezaa films, in association with Omjee Group and Smeep Kang, have announced the release of their upcoming Punjabi Family drama, ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’.

The shoot of the film will start from 16th February 2019. This film will star Binnu Dhillon and Kulraj Randhawa in lead roles. Along with them, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jaswinder Bhalla, and Upasna Singh will be seen in pivotal roles. ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’ will be directed by Smeep Kang.

Produced by Rohit Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Ruhi Trehan, Ashu Munish Sahni and Smeep Kang, this film has been written by Vaibhav and Sherya.

At the press conference held in Chandigarh, Binnu Dhillon, the male lead of the film told media, “I always try to perform different characters with every film, but cherry on the cake is addition of comedy in it. In Naukar Vahuti Da, my character is very fresh. It is a family drama but without being dramatic. It is a fun comedy which surely people will love to watch.”

The Captain of the ship, Smeep Kang said, “Naukar Vahuti Da as title seems funny, however, film will be a complete package. Whole star cast is amazing and I am looking forward to work with them.”

“Punjabi cinema is flourishing day by day. There is no such thing that only a particular genre will work, any more. If we talk about ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’ it will start a refresh breeze in Pollywood. A family drama without making it over dramatic is a task to perform. I just hope whole team will work in harmony and everything will fall in place”, Rohit Kumar, the producer of the film said.

‘Naukar Vahuti Da’ will release worldwide on August 23rd, 2019.

Fans Go Crazy After BABBU MANN’s Viral Pictures From His Next Film

All set with his upcoming Punjabi movie ‘Sucha Soorma’, Babbu Mann’s pictures from the shoot of this film are going viral on the internet.

The shoot of ‘Sucha Soorma’ is being held in Suratgarh (Rajasthan) and interestingly, it also is starring veteran singer/actor Sarabjeet Cheema in it. The release date of ‘Sucha Soorma’ hasn’t been announced as yet. See the pictures below:

Sucha Soorma is reportedly, based on the real-life-story of a man called of Sucha Singh, who was an army man turned dacoit due to personal circumstances. He was convicted of murdering his sister-in-law, her lover, and seven others. His victims included Balbiro Kaur Jawanda and Khukkar Mall Chahal, who were both lovers. He was later captured after an extensive manhunt and sent to be hung to death on the gallows.

Sargun Mehta’s Bold Confession Before Her Film – Kala Shah Kala

Kala Shah Kala, starring Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta and Jordan Sandhu in pivotal roles is all set to release on this Valentine’s Day (14th Feb). While the film promises loads of laughter with elements of romance sprinkled over it, this film carries an important social message too.

Kala Shah Kala is based on a guy who’s socially considered not really upto the mark, as far as his looks are concerned. With our society obsessed with fair skin, this guy (Lovely, played by Binnu Dhillon) has quite a dark complexion (hence the name of the film – Kala Shah Kala), because of which women don’t find him attractive and everyone keeps ridiculing him. This is the reason that he suffers from low confidence.

When we asked Sargun Mehta in our interview with her whether she faced any such issue in her life, which was beyond her control and people ridiculed her for. She said boldly that though the particular issue didn’t affect her confidence in herself, yet she became a point of ridicule for many. She said, that due to her habit of speaking at a loud pitch, her vocal chords had got disturbed and her voice became very husky and man-like.

“Doctors even suggested me surgery and my Mom did her level best to prevent me from speaking too loud. It is only after I joined theatre and did a variety of vocal exercises that my voice became somewhat normal,” she says while smiling all the way.

Well, Sargun we’re glad that you worked hard on your unique voice and accepted it wholeheartedly. Today, your unique voice has become one of the reasons for your massive fan following besides of course, your gorgeous looks and acting talent.

Kala Shah Kala: Pics Of This New Jodi Of Punjabi Cinema Is Winning The Internet

This Valentine’s Day, the programme is all set for us Punjabis. A triangular love story with ample doses of comedy is hitting the cinema on 14th February starring none other than current favorites – Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta and the singer-turned-actor Jordan Sandhu.

In their Chandigarh promotios today at PVR Elante, the trio looked amazing clicking together! While talking to the media Sargun said, “Kala Shah Kala set was all about fun and frolic. Although the subject of the film may seem a bit serious, but it is treated with utmost comedy. Binnu (Dhillon) Ji’s comic timing is something we all are a fan of. But I never knew that even Jordan is so much fun to work with. You will be entertained watching this film, that’s a promise.”

Binnu Dhillon commented, “This concept is not new, we have always seen the discrimination on the basis of color of the skin. But the way it is treated in this film is unique; the message is conveyed without hampering entertainment a bit. Collaborating with a national brand like Zee for a regional film is pride for Punjabi cinema.”

Adding to that Jordan said, “Working with such a great team is like blessing and being a part of such a wonderful concept is just cherry on the cake. I cannot ask anything more. Now, our hard work is in people’s court, I just hope they will appreciate it.”
