Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Janmeja Sekhon and three retired IAS officers in the multi-crore irrigation department inquiry. In a status report filed before the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Vigilance Bureau confirmed that an exhaustive, multi-year investigation yielded no evidence of bribery, financial recovery, or wrongdoing against Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Sekhon and others .

This is also seen as an administrative fairness and objective law enforcement, demonstrating that the government is not involved in political vendetta politics.

No Evidence or Recovery Found in Detailed Inquiry

According to the status affidavit submitted by DSP Jai Inder Singh Randhawa on behalf of the Vigilance Bureau, the probe (Vigilance Inquiry No. 08, dated September 29, 2022) was registered solely on the basis of a disclosure statement made on December 21, 2017, by contractor Gurinder Singh in connection with FIR No. 10 (dated August 17, 2017).

The Vigilance Bureau’s official submission highlights the following key facts:

Exclusion from Challans: The initial disclosure statement was not even made part of the official challans presented in court.

Complete Vindication Across Political & Executive Rungs

The High Court, while hearing a PIL on May 15, 2026, had directed the state to conclude the pending Section 17A inquiry within 15 days. In compliance, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (VB Flying Squad) submitted the final report, which was approved by the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, to formally close and consign the inquiry to the record room.

Unity in Diversity Bridal Showcase: New Chandigarh Women Added Their Spark” – Richa Agarwal.

At Cleopatra Beauty Academy & Salons’ exclusive bridal showcase, the theme “Unity in Diversity” was presented with a beautifully modern and culturally rich approach. During the event, makeover expert Richa Aggarwal discussed the philosophy behind the theme, the evolving bridal styles of the year, and the shifting dimensions of beauty. According to her, the aim of this showcase was to highlight the identity of the Indian bride—one who gracefully honors traditions while embracing contemporary aesthetics and effortless style.

A Bridal Vision Inspired by India’s Diversity

Richa Aggarwal shared that every religion whether it is a Hindu bride, Sikh bride, Christian bride, or Muslim bride reflects a unique identity, yet the Indian bride never fits into one style alone. She embodies a beautiful blend of cultures. Each bridal look in the showcase was crafted with deep respect for its cultural roots while also aligning it with modern bridal trends, ensuring that it represents the personality and preferences of today’s bride.

Bridal Makeup Trends — Soft Glow With Modern Appeal

Speaking about makeup trends this season, Richa emphasized that brides are leaning strongly towards soft and classic glow. They are moving away from loud, overpowering makeup and choosing looks that capture attention without feeling harsh. In line with this preference, soft tones of gold and silver were blended with peach and nude shades in a fresh, modern way, giving the face not only a camera-friendly finish but also a contemporary, balanced luminosity. The base was kept dewy and natural so that the glow appears real on every skin tone. Eye makeup leaned towards soft definition, ensuring the bride’s personality shines through rather than the makeup itself.

Hairstyle Trends — Elegant, Romantic & Timeless

On hairstyles, Richa highlighted that today’s bride seeks effortless beauty. Heavy, overly constructed hairstyles are fading out, making way for soft, lightweight textures. The looks featured delicate floral accents and embellished hair pins that added both modern refinement and subtle charm. Inspired by Bollywood’s classic beauties, the hairstyles carried a romantic mood while maintaining traditional grace, giving each bridal look a timeless appeal.

Nail Trends — The Rise of Minimal Chic

While discussing nail trends, Richa mentioned that brides are now choosing refinement over ornate designs. Nails are styled to blend seamlessly with the overall look rather than overpower it. Soft nude and neutral bases with gentle shimmer or minimal line detailing were preferred to maintain a clean, polished, and trend-forward bridal appearance.

The Message of the Showcase — Beauty That Connects Cultures

Summarizing the essence of the showcase, Richa expressed that the presentation was not merely about fashion or makeovers. It was an ode to the beautiful Indian sentiment that unites multiple cultures into one harmonious identity. For her, beauty is not limited to makeup—it is an expression of tradition, individuality, and emotion. Each bride’s makeover reflected this philosophy, blending simplicity with elegance, tradition with modernity, and personal style with confidence.

Special Participation of New Chandigarh Women

The showcase also witnessed active participation from many women from New Chandigarh, who enthusiastically joined an interactive session with Cleopatra’s beauty expert Harveen Kathuria. They raised insightful questions on makeup, bridal fashion, and hairstyles, and Harveen responded with detailed, practical guidance. According to Richa, this enthusiasm and involvement from women inspire her to introduce fresh trends every year.

From Dull to Dewy: Expert-Approved Festive Skincare Detox Routine

As the festive season winds down, it often leaves traces of exhaustion on the skin — dullness, breakouts, and dehydration caused by late nights, makeup overload, and indulgent meals. The key to reviving your skin’s natural radiance lies in a gentle detox routine that allows it to breathe, repair, and restore its glow.

Experts suggest beginning your post-festive skincare reset with thorough but mild cleansing. Switch to sulfate-free cleansers enriched with natural ingredients like green tea, aloe vera, or rose water that effectively remove makeup and impurities without stripping away essential moisture. Hydration plays a pivotal role in skin recovery; therefore, replenishing lost moisture with hyaluronic acid serums or plant-based facial oils helps restore suppleness.

A weekly detox mask made from kaolin clay or charcoal can help draw out impurities while soothing the skin. Many dermatologists recommend using masks containing antioxidant-rich ingredients like matcha or turmeric, which reduce inflammation and brighten the complexion. Incorporating a gentle exfoliant made from fruit enzymes or rice powder twice a week can further aid cell renewal and improve skin texture.

Switching to vegan and natural skincare products can make a visible difference during the detox phase. Brands like Forest Essentials, Just Herbs, and Plum Goodness in India are known for their botanical formulations that nourish without harsh chemicals. Globally, The Body Shop’s Tea Tree range and Herbivore Botanicals’ Blue Tansy Mask have gained popularity for their clean, vegan ingredients that help balance and detoxify stressed skin.

Diet and hydration are equally vital for restoring your glow from within. Detoxing your skin isn’t only about topical care — it involves a conscious effort to load up on antioxidant-rich foods such as berries, leafy greens, and citrus fruits. Drinking adequate water and herbal teas helps flush out toxins, while avoiding processed sugar and alcohol accelerates skin healing.

A consistent post-festive skincare routine focused on cleansing, hydration, and mindful nutrition ensures that your skin feels refreshed, luminous, and truly revived — ready to step into the new season with renewed radiance.
