Snowman: Neeru Bajwa’s film’s trailer set to release on Nov 18

Releasing on December 9, 2022, ‘Snowman’ starring Neeru Bajwa, Jazzy B, Rana Ranbir, and Arshi Khatkar in the lead, seems to be an interesting upcoming Punjabi film that’s going to be based on the “Dark Side Of Canada”.

The first song from the movie, ‘ Jatt Bolde’, has already become on music streaming platforms, and now the film’s trailer is also all set to be out. The’ Snowman’ trailer will be on YouTube on November 18, 2022.

Directed by Aman Khatkar, the movie is touted to be a crime thriller. The subheading of the film reads – “The dark side of Canada”. The story has been written by Rana Ranbir.t

The film has been produced under Gippy Grewal’s production banner – Big Daddy Films.

Shoot of Gippy GREWAL’S Maujaan Hi Maujaan commences

On Wednesday, the actor/producer/singer Gippy Grewal took to his social media handle to announce that he has started the shoot of his movie ‘Maujaan Hi Maujaan’.

Starring him, Binnu Dhillon, and Karamjit Anmol in the leading roles, the movie has been described as ‘A Deaf, Dumb & Blind Comedy’.

Besides this film, the trio of Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, and Karamjit Anmol will be seen in ‘Carry On Jatta 3’. The shoot of the same was done in September, and the movie is scheduled for a 2023 release. The movie also stars Sonam Bajwa, Jaswinder Bhalla, Kavita Kaushik, and others in pivotal roles.

Veteran Punjabi actress Daljeet Kaur Passes Away at 69

While the Punjabi film industry hasn’t yet fully recovered from the shock of the sudden demise of actor/director Gurinder Dimpy and popular Punjabi singer Nachhattar Gill’s wife, here’s another sad news coming from the industry – Veteram Punjabi star Daljeet Kaur Khangura is no more.

The actress who has been known for her work in movies like ‘Putt Jattan De’, ‘Ki Banu Duniya Da’, ‘Sarpanch’ and more, breathed her last at the age of 69 years. Her first film Daaj was released in 1976. Reports suggest she was unwell for quite some time before losing the battle of life.

Daljeet Kaur was one of the most popular names in Punjabi cinema. She took a break from acting after she lost her husband Harminder Singh Deol in a tragic road accident. She didn’t have a child. After several years, in 2001, she decided to step back into the industry. She even worked as Gippy Grewal ‘s mother in the blockbuster film Singh vs KAUR.

The trailer of Ammy Virk and Tania starrer ‘Oye Makhna’ – a movie, which was announced last year, has been released now on the official Youtube channel of Saregama Punjabi. The movie will release worldwide on November 4.

Oye Makhna has been directed by renowned filmmaker, Simerjit – the man behind movies like Angrej, Nikka Zaildar series and Muklawa, and the movie has been written by Rakesh Dhawan.

Besides Ammy Virk and Tania, Oye Makhna also features actors like Guggu Gill, Sidhika Sharma, Sukhwinder Chahal, Hardeep Gill, and several other popular faces from the Punjabi film fraternity.

‘Hai Koyi Hor?’ Gavie Chahal Set To Make His Directorial Debut With a new Punjabi Movie on Sidhu Moose Wala

Gavie Chahal was last seen as an actor in the Punjabi film ‘Yaarana’ (2015). He’s now returning to Punjabi cinema as a director.

The untimely and extremely tragic demise of Punjab’s famous singer/lyricist and actor, Sidhu Moose Wala earlier this year, has stirred many Punjabi artistes emotionally so much that many of them are using their talent and creativity to pay a tribute to the legendary singer.

One of them is Punjabi actor Gavie Chahal, who was last seen as an actor in a Punjabi film titled Yaaraana, which was released in 2015. Now after almost eight years, Chahal is returning to Punjabi cinema with his film ‘Hair Koi Hor..??’ – this time as an actor and a director both.

Chahal recently took to the social media platform Instagram to announce his latest project. His caption read:

“Sharing the Poster , Films first look , and about the Title of this Punjabi Feature Film.
When ever we read these words , there’s one and only one Name comes into our mind which is #sidhumoosewala , so this Film , The Title Is Dedicated To S. Shubhdeep Singh “Sidhu Moose Wala”.

According to sources, besides Chahal, Sonia Mann, Malkeet Rauni, Satwant Kaur, Vikas, Rajiv Rishi and Gurkanwar will be featuring in Hai Koi Hor..??

It may be recalled that Gavie Chahal has appeared in Hindi movies like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017) and ‘Veere Di Wedding’ (2018) besides play several characters in Indian Television series. Produced by Gavie Chahal Films (his own production house), Hai Koyi Hor..?? will release in 2023.
