One of our Punjabi film industry’s ace writer and producer – Naresh Kathooria – man behind films like Carry on Jatta series, Mr and Mrs 420 series and so many more, shocked his followers on social media today when he posted a picture of a man pregnant standing besides his wife.
Well, though it was just a cartoon picture, Kathooria made his point clear in his own hilarious style that he (Naresh Kathooria Films), Ksshitij Chaudhary Films and Frriday Rushh Motion Pictures are working on a film concept that’s going to show how the world of a couple changes when the husband (followed by taunts by his wife) decides to become pregnant and deliver a baby!!! Although according to Naresh Kathooria, this untitled film is actually going to be a comedy flick but NOT without a message. He says, “Ultimately the husband (hero) realises as to how much pain a woman has to endure to give birth to a new life. But all this happens merrily.”
At a time when Punjabi cinema is on an upswing and not many filmmakers thinking past usual subjects eg. wedding-themed comedies, it’s nice to learn that someone is thinking in a completley new direction and coming up with an innovative subject! We wish the team great luck for the same.
