Producer’s Take: ‘Jind Jaan has something in store for everyone’, Karan Aggarwal

Punjabi film industry is seen to be surpassing benchmarks with each passing day and upcoming Punjabi movie, Jind Jaan is all set to contribute to the same indispensably. Jind Jaan traces a modern age love story set-up in Thailand which comes across insurmountable challenges by a villain and a dangerous don.

Providing a sneak-peak into the same, one of the Producers of the movie Karan Aggarwal shared, “Jind Jaan is a complete family package movie and it has something in store for everyone alike. It has the romantic element by singer-turned-actor Rajvir Jawanda and Sara Sharmaa, it has action scenes by Mohan Baggad, great dance performances by Mehul and Shabnam, negative drama by Gaurav Kakkar, and comedy scenes by Jaswinder Bhalla, Upasana Singh, Harby Sangha and Swatantra Bharat to tickle the funny bone. It also has special guest appearances including that of Guggu Gill.”

With an estimated budget of 8 Crores, the movie stands at par with the Bollywood standards in terms of production finesse. While highlighting the same Karan said, “For one scene, we shot in -20 degrees temperature in Georgia wherein the actress was wearing just a saree and the actor was wearing just a t-shirt in the chilling cold. It has been captured aesthetically and the credit goes to our Director of Photography and other technical crew who made it possible. It took a lot of hard work to create that flamboyancy.”

A great launching pad for Indian TV actress Sharan Kaur in Punjabi film industry, Sharan Kaur will be seen playing the role of a girl named Maryiam in Munda Faridkotia. In an exclusive interview with Iampunjaabi.com, the actress revealed, “It is a very different kind of character wherein the girl is very jovial, sincere, emotional and yet very respectful towards her elders.”

During the interview Sharan also told us that to make her character convincing, she especially learnt the Pothwari dialect.

“I took a small workshop under the proficient guidance of Mr Parveen Kumar to learn the Pothwari dialect which plays a crucial role in the movie. I took all the transformations in high zeal and verve and enjoyed every part of it,” she further added.

“Venturing into the Punjabi film industry from television has been a beautiful learning experience and I am really excited for Munda Faridkotia to hit the silver screen!” Kaur concluded.

‘Chal Mera Putt’: Amrinder Gill and Ammy Virk Working Together Again?

Ever since Ammy Virk shared a picture with Amrinder Gill on his Instagram, fans can’t help speculating on whether they are working in Gill’s next film – Chal Mera Putt – together or not!

Superstar Amrinder Gill, who is these days promoting his film Laiye Je Yaarian (releasing on 5th June in INDIA and 7th June worldwide), worked with Ammy Virk in Angrej, a pathbreaking blockbuster of 2015. Angrej was incidentally, the first ever film of Ammy that gave him overnight success. After that the duo never worked together, although Ammy worked in Bambukat, which was Amrinder Gill’s own production.

Now the sharing of this picture on Instagram, Ammy Virk has hinted upon his being a part of Amrinder Gill’s new project titled “Chal Mera Putt”, for which Gill will be shooting with Pakistani Punjabi actors Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti, and Akram Udas. The movie will be presented by Amrinder Gill’s production ‘Rhythm Boyz Entertainment’ and the shooting of the same has already begun in Punjab.

Kavita Kaushik Signed ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’ Even Before Vadhiyan Ji Vadhaiyan

‘Mindo Taseeeldarni’ is in the news right from the go. It made it to the headlines with its title poster only when Kavita Kaushik’s (the leading lady of the film) name was written even before the male lead in the film – a kind of “First” in Punjabi cinema – and then its first look poster raised many an eyebrow with only the fierce eyes of Kavita peeping through the poster.

Now the latest news doing the rounds is that Mindo Taseeldarni, though technically is Kaushik’s fourth Punjabi film, yet it was signed by her during the shooting of “Vekh Baraatan Challiyan (2017), her debut with Binnu Dhillon.

According to an eTimes report, ‘the director of ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’ Avtar Singh approached Kaushik when she was filming her first Punjabi movie ‘Vekh Baraatan Challiyan’. The reason why the movie took too long after the signing to finally get announced was because Kavita Kaushik herself was busy with her other projects. At the same time, she got married. Thus ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’ took some time to see the light of the day’.

Releasing on 28 June, ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’ stars Kavita Kaushik, Rajvir Jawanda, Karamjit Anmol and more in important roles. The film is produced by Karamjit Anmol.
