Doorbeen Movie: Looking to create ripples of change in our industry

Ninja and Wamiqa Gabbi starring upcoming Punjabi movie, Doorbeen promises to contribute towards making Punjab a better place to live in!

The Punjabi film industry has witnessed a rapid upsurge in content-based movies since the last few years and upcoming Punjabi movie, Doorbeen is all set to contribute towards the same with the perfect blend of giving a social message, comedy, romance, drama, and thrill.

Produced by Sukhraj Randhawa, Jugraj Bal and Yadwinder Virk, Doorbeen stars singer-turned-actor Ninja and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.

Gabbi who was recently seen in the Punjabi movie Nikka Zaildar 3 parallel to Ammy Virk extended her excitement to be a part of this film and complimented its unique storyline.

Directed by Ishan Chopra and written by Sukhraj Singh, Doorbeen narrates the tale of the rampant smuggling of alcohol which tends to take a toll on the youth. In order to curb this menace, a DSP takes the plunge and appoints an undercover agent to uncover the source. The agent who is enacted by singer-turned-actor Ninja, comes across insurmountable challenges while on his mission and the story further unfolds.

“I play the role of a guy who is quite emotional but very brainy at the same time. He is the mastermind of sending messages through unusual ways in the trade of smuggling,” shared Ninja.

“Doorbeen carries a strong message along with ample of entertainment,” added the director of the movie.

Ninja, who is seen to be really enthusiastic about the release of Doorbeen recently took to social media to share that 20% of the movie’s profit will go for the Punjab flood relief fund. So, in addition to the entertainment value, Doorbeen will also add to social value of Punjab.

The movie also stars Jass Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, Harby Sangha, Karamjit Anmol, Yograj Singh, Hobby Dhaliwal, and Rupinder Rupi in pivotal roles. It is slated to hit the silver screen on 27th September.

Ardab Mutiyaran: Wedding Pic of ‘Babbu’ and ‘Rinku’ Is Out

One of the much awaited on-screen jodis that we are anxiously waiting to watch is that of Sonam Bajwa and Ajay Sarkaria from the upcoming Whitehill Studios’ movie, Ardab Mutiyaran. The movie is directed by Manav Shah.

Recently, Ajay took down to social media to share a still from Ardab Mutiyaran. In this picture, Ajay and Sonam are posing as their on-screen characters Rinku and Babbu and it seems to be their on-screen wedding still.

Ajay is dressed as the groom, wearing a blue and white ‘sherwani’, while Sonam is dressed in a peach bridal lehenga. Isn’t this duo giving high couple goals? Sure, it’s hard to take off our eyes from this perfect jodi!

Releasing on 18th October, Ardab Mutiyaran is being touted as a modern film espousing girl power in a humorous way! The movie has been produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu.

‘DOORBEEN Is A Healthy Mix Of Thrill and Comedy’ – Ninja

A nice concoction of comedy, entertainment, romance and thrill – the upcoming Punjabi. movie starring Ninja, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jass Bajwa in the lead is all set to release on September 27th.

Directed by Ishan Chopra, ‘Doorbeen’ has been produced by Sukhraj Randhawa, Jugraj Bal and Yadwinder Virk.

Speaking to the press the director Ishan Chopra said, “ Doorbeen is basically a story about how alcohol gets smuggled through strange techniques. The film carries a strong message along with ample entertainment.”

Ninja, the leading man seems to be quite excited about his film. While interacting with media, the singer turned actor said, “I am glad to play a very different kind of role in Doorbeen. I play the role of a guy who is quite emotional but very brainy at the same time. He is the mastermind of sending messages through unusual ways in the trade of smuggling. Doorbeen is a healthy mix of comedy, romance and thrill.”

Wamiqa Gabbi who is known for her stupendous acting talent seems to be equally passionate about her role. Her chemistry with Ninja as seen in the trailer, is cute and impressive. “I am happy to play the love interest of Ninja in Doorbeen. The best part about this film is its unique story and the way the director Ishan Chopra got work done from us was highly appreciable.”

Besides Ninja and Wamiqa Gabbi, Doorbeen will also witness an innocent love shared between Jass Bajwa and Jasmine Bajwa. The film being first-of-its kind in many ways has awesome music as its strong backbone too, besides of course an awesome storyline.

From the trailer, it seems that though there are various characters in the movie played different actors of repute including Ninja, Mehreen Pirzada and the new entrant Ajay Sarkaria, yet the movie seems to be revolving aroud one character primarily, which is that of Babbu Bains, played by Sonam Bajwa.

Although many might recall Sonam’s Guddiyan Patole avatar after watching this trailer, yet there are no two thoughts about the fact that Sonam brings an entirely different shade to this one.

Here seems to be an ultra tomboyish, fiesty girl who isn’t afraid to play by her own rules, regardless how the society perceives her attitude. Babbu Bains is a finance recovery agent, who knows how to bend the customers to get the money. She has her own way and it isn’t just her tongue that speaks but her hands, legs and hockeys too!

It is shown that even when she gets married, she doesn’t give in to the family traditions and scheming ladies, rather, she always takes a stand for herself. The rest of the cast especially, Ninja and Ajay Sarkaria seem to be totally fitting into their characters as well. Mehreen is pretty and seemingly, good in this role too.

But the final verdict about Ardab Mutiyaran can only be given after watching the entire film in the theatre on 18th October. So far, so good! Expectations are high. Whether the film will be as entertaining as the trailer, we’ll have to wait and watch.

Khatre Da Ghuggu: ‘Patiala Peg’ Girl Bags A new Punjabi Film with Jordan Sandhu

Punjabi movie industry is into all kinds of experimentation these days. From comedies to wedding comedies, romcom to war-movies, family dramas and then announcements of some horror-comedies, there’s no dearth of variety in our industry.

Now a new film probably a horror comedy or a thriller-comedy (From what we can figure out from its title poster) has been announced called, “Khatre Da Ghuggu”.

The film will star Jordan Sandhu, Diljott and B.N. Sharma in the lead roles. It is a film bankrolled by Shivtar Singh and Aman Cheema.

Moreover, there is so much talent in the world who deserves a launching pad. So, I decided to take the plunge and launch 30 new artist with Teri Meri Jodi.”

“It has also been evident that the Punjabi film industry has the same jodis across all genres of movies, which was not at all the concept behind Teri Meri Jodi. We wanted to have something new in store for the audience. I am hopeful that the audience will enjoy watching the movie,” he further added.

A new entrant in the Punjabi film industry, television actress Monica Sharma will be soon seen in the upcoming Punjabi romantic movie, Teri Meri Jodi.

A heart-warming tale of love, upcoming Punjabi movie Teri Meri Jodi promises to be rich on content and acting with Sidhu Moosewala, Monica Sharma, Sammy Gill, Nazia (Naaz), Arshdeep Purba, and King B Chouhan in pivotal roles.

Written and directed by Aditya Sood, Teri Meri Jodi has brought to cards the debut for television actress, Monica Sharma into the Punjabi film industry. Paired opposite Sammy Gill, Monica will be seen playing the role of a simple Punjabi girl.

While providing an insight into the storyline of the movie, Monica shared to a leading daily, “Those butterflies in the stomach, those longing in the eyes, Teri Meri Jodi would take you back to the time when love was simple and not like the swift left or right swipe of today.”

Aditya Sood, the man of the moment in Punjabi cinema right now, who’s taken the entire industry by storm with his most honest interview detailing everything that happened with him during the last 6 years (after the release of his debut movie – Oye Hoye Pyar Ho Gaya with Sharry Mann) is once again in news.

Biggest Punjabi Scandal: Man Impersonates Renowned Producer To “Exploit” Girls, Gets Arrested

In perhaps, one of the biggest scandal that has ever broken in Punjabi cinema, a man named Obed Afridi, who was actually impersonating renowned Punjabi film producer Gunbir Singh Sidhu (owner of Whitehill Studios and Whitehill Music), has been arrested by Punjab Police last night.

While speaking to Gunbir Singh Sidhu Iampunjaabi.com learnt that Afridi would often call girls acting as Sidhu and ask them to send him photos and videos in many objectionable poses on the pretext of giving them roles in movies or modeling assignments. His malpractices continued for months exploiting several innocent girls.

“This guy would ask girls that he’s willing to offer them modeling assignments in famous singers’ songs but since he’s a very straightforward person, he would like to know if the girl would be ready for the “compromise” or not,” said Gunbir Sidhu who made sure to take prompt action the moment he learnt about a girl suffering because of his name.

Sidhu also told Iampunjaabi.com that the man in question, was using two different numbers and after tracing them down he and his team learnt that this man is ‘Obed Afridi ‘who is some kind of a casting agent.

“We notified the police immediately as the information had reached us that Afridi would be coming down near Mohali for a song shoot. The police then wasted no time in arresting him. He was arrested from Shergah Farm house on 7th September while the FIR was lodged on 6th September,” he said.

Reportedly, when Afridi’s belongings were searched thoroughly, police got hold of his Tablet in which they were easily able to find the horrific fact that the man had impersonated Gunbir Singh Sidhu on Whatsapp Chats and exploited more than 35 girls and a lot of pictures of these girls were found in the tablet.
