The Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) recently initiated a 21-day countdown to International Yoga Day, highlighting the significance of forming healthy habits. In collaboration with FICSI, B&WSSC organized a morning Yoga session on June 16th, 2023, to commemorate the upcoming International Yoga Day and raise awareness about the importance of Yoga within our ecosystem.

Led by renowned yoga expert Shri Amit Kumar Ji and his team, the session featured various yoga asanas and attracted participants from diverse backgrounds. The event served as a platform to educate attendees about the numerous health benefits of yoga, fostering unity and holistic well-being among individuals.

During the event, Mr. Monica Bahl, CEO of Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council, expressed that the celebration aimed to uphold the legacy of yoga and promote the concept of “EK VISHWA, EK SWASTHY – VASUDHAIV KUTUMBKAM” (One World, One Health – The World is One Family).

By emphasizing the Sanskrit mantra “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which signifies global unity, the organization aims to promote humanity and collective well-being. The event’s message was crystal clear: ‘Say Yes to Yog, No to Rog’—emphasizing the importance of embracing yoga for a healthy lifestyle.

Through events like these, the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council strives to create an environment that encourages individuals to proactively prioritize their physical and mental health. The council is dedicated to cultivating an inclusive and comprehensive understanding of health and well-being. In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of promoting yoga worldwide, the council not only advocates for the physical and mental benefits of yoga but also shares its spiritual and cultural significance. The ultimate goal is to make yoga accessible to people of all backgrounds.

The Yoga event took place at Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra Building on Ground Copernicus Marg in New Delhi.
