With ‘Mahi Ve’ Rajvir Jawandha All Set For His Debut As Male Lead

Subedar Joginder Singh may not have been a box-office success, but it has certainly given a new direction to many actors’ career who either acted in it after a long time or debuted in it.

Be it Kulwinder Billa (Who recently gave a hit like ‘Parahuna’), Harish Verma (who did a meaty role after long and immediately after SJS gave a hit called Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua), Roshan Prince (who’s now doing two promising film projects), Jordan Sandhu (now doing Kala Shah Kala), and now the latest one being Rajvir Jawandha.

Popular singer Rajvir Jawandha made his debut this year in a supporting role in SJS. From there he got recognition from the film fraternity which led him to bagging his debut project ‘Mahi Ve’ as the lead. The shooting of ‘Mahi Ve’ has just begun.

Vilaiti Yantra: Gurnam Bhullar Continues To Bag Film Roles

Gurnam Bhullar is surely in news for bagging one film after another. Ever since the news of his doing a film with Sonam Bajwa started doing the rounds, this guy is signing films after films.

In August Gurnam Bhullar shared the news of making his debut in Punjabi cinema with ‘Surkhi Bindi’ opposite Sonam Bajwa, and now he has shared the poster of his second project ‘Vilaiti Yantra’. Gurnam Bhullar will be sharing the screen space with Aman Sandhu in the movie.

Not only this, he’s also featuring along with Ninja, Jassie Gill and Ranjit Bawa in a yet untitled project – a Pankaj Batra’s maiden production.

Being directed by Ranjit Bal, the movie’s producer is Naresh Singla. Karan Sandhu and Neeraj Kumar are the scriptwriters. The shooting of the same has already gone on the floors; but the release date is yet kept under the wrap.

Mar Gaye Oye Loko Actress Sapna Pabbi Speaks About Sexual Harrassment

Sapna Pabbi, a Bollywood actress who recently made her debut in Punjabi film ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’ starring Gippy Grewal in the lead role, recently came out in support of actress Tanushree Dutta, who has accused Nana Patekar of sexual abuse. Pabbi talked about the sexual harrassment that she had to face during a shoot in a long Instagram post.

Recalling the incident, she said that she was forced into wearing an uncomfortable bikini for several hours during a dance sequence which resulted in agonising chest pain. She insisted on removing the underwires of the bikini, but the (female) stylist dismissed her request.

In a long Instagram post, Pabbi expressed her disappointment at a female colleague who she said colluded with the male directors. “Sadly I have been disappointed with the way some of these women (and others within my working environment) have remained absent during such traumatic and difficult situations and were merely witnessing, if not taking advantage, themselves,” she wrote.

“If we do not support our girls, how can we expect our male colleagues to do so? I have witnessed women from several professional industries bully other women to secure their own position and accelerate their image in the eyes of their male peers,” she added.

The next day, when she was physically slow at work due to pain, the male directors told her that she was becoming too difficult to work with and accused her of throwing tantrums about a ‘poxy bra’. “It is just a bra, Sapna!”, they said.

Pabbi added, “I was judged for complaining about a bra by a man; however it was a fellow sister, the one who I reached out to in confidence for support, that stabbed [me] in the back. Can we please stop doing this to each other please? offices, schools, shooting sets everywhere!”.

Recently, Bollywood Actress Tanushree Dutta filed a complaint against Nana Patekar for sexual abuse. However, Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri have denied all the allegations made against her.

The duo has been working on Jagdeep Sidhu’s directorial romantic comedy, ‘Shadaa’, which is scheduled to release on May 24, 2019.

Ranjha Refugee Trailer Review: Roshan Prince’s Double Role Promising To Bring Some Madness Onscreen

The trailer of Roshan Prince’s much-anticipated movie ‘Ranjha Refugee’ is out and as expected, it’s another comic caper for you.

Telling a humorous story of a guy whose love life goes in for a trouble, Ranjha Refugee’s trailer has got a mixed response so far. The good thing is that there’s a “twist” in the tale, for which we shall have to go and watch the film in the theatre.

With Saanvi Dhiman as his leading lady, this is Roshan Prince’s second film releasing this year. His earlier film was Subedar Joginder Singh released in April, in which he had a small but impressive role to play.

Directed by Avtar Singh, ‘Ranjha Refugee’ is a story of Ranjha (Roshan Prince), who is told that the love of his life Preeto (Saanvi Dhiman) will soon be married to someone else. In order to prevent this tragedy from happening in his life, Ranjha leaves no stone unturned to break Preeto’s engagement. This act leads to much opposition fromt the village folks, leading Ranjha’s Dad asking his son to leave the place!

Destiny somehow takes him to the borders wherein he meets a man from the otherside of the border who looks absolutely same – almost his duplicate! This suddden twist suggests a double role and subsequent madness.

Tarsem and Nimrat’s Chemistry Fetching Appreciation Allover

Helmed by Gulshan Singh upcoming Punjabi movie ‘Afsar’ (releasing tomorrow i.e. 5th October) will be witnessing the fresh pairing of singers/actors Tarsem Jassar and Nimrat Khaira.

Setting off couple goals right since their first poster was out, this duo has amused the audience with their innocent chemistry and has been garnering a lot of appreciation. The first poster showed the two twinning in the hue of red on the poster of AFSAR, a unique story of Patwaris and Kanugos.

Even the trailer of the movie fetched a lot of praise for the lead pair with both Tarsem Jassar and Nimrat Khaira looking adorable together.

Even offsets, during the promotions, the two look really lovely in each other’s company. Twinning in white, Nimrat Khaira took it to her social media handle to post the picture of the two sharing smiles and the same color of clothes.

In the front Nimrat Khaira looked very pretty in an embroidered white suit, while Tarsem Jassar sported a plain white shirt.

Produced by Nadar Films and Vehli Janta Films, ‘Afsar’ is a romantic comedy. The story is about a guy who has been asked to step down from his official rank of ‘Kanugo’ to the much lower one – Patwari, if he wants to marry the love of his life. Along with Tarsem Jassar and Nimrat Khaira, the movie stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, Rana Jung Bahadur and Pukhraj Bhalla.

Shadaa: Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa Starrer’s Shoot Begins

Ever since Diljit Dosanjh announced his next Punjabi film ‘Shadaa’ with Neeru Bajwa, the Punjabi audience allover the world is anxiously awaiting to read and hear more about the movie.

Well, the recent update is that the shooting of ‘Shadaa’ has begun. September 30th marked the first day of the shoot and Diljit Dosanjh took to Instagram to announce the same. He also expressed his nervousness in doing this project and said that he hopes that his fans will love it.

Last time Neeru Bajwa and Diljit Dosanjh were seen together in a song called ‘Raat Di Gedi’ released in December 2017.

The director of the movie Jagdeep Sidhu, who recently made news for his last directorial ‘Qismat’. Produced by A&A Advisors, Anurag Singh and Pawan Gill, Shadaa releases on 24th May 2019.

Dulla Vaily: Veterans Guggu Gill and Yograj Singh To Appear In A Revenge Drama

By the year end, you shall be able to witness a story of tussle and rivalry on the big Punjabi screen in the form a movie called, ‘Dulla Vaily’.

Directed by Devi Sharma, the movie is slated to release on 7th December. The poster of the same was released recently featuring two of the most loved veterans of Punjabi cinema – Guggu Gill and Yograj Singh. From the poster, the movie seems to be a revenge/action film.

Besides Guggu Gill and Yograj Singh, Dulla Vaily will star Sarbjit Cheema, Avtar Gill, Muhammad Sadiq and Nitu Pandher. The movie will be marking the acting debut of Gurvar Cheema, son of Sarbjit Cheema. Malkit Bhuttar and Khushboo Sharma have written the film.

Son of Manjeet Singh Trailer Depicts a Beautiful Father-Son Story

In the year 2018, Punjabi cinema has already seen two sports-centric films – Harjeeta and Khido Khundi. Although both of them were based on hockey, once our national sports, they didn’t really do well on the box-office. However, there’s no denying that the films were well made with the lead actors pouring their heart out in their performances and set a new trend in Punjabi cinema.

Following the latest trend is an upcoming Punjabi film – Son of Manjeet Singh – a Kapil Sharma’s maiden production ‘Son Of that will be bringing a sport-themed film again on the big screen. The trailer of the same has been released, and besides sports, it features dreams and the moment when they hit the reality.

Depicting a beautiful father-son bond played by Gurpreet Ghuggi, and the son (Damanpreet Singh), Son of Manjeet Singh is slated to release on 12th October and the movie stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma, Harby Sangha, Malkeet Rauni, Damanpreet Singh, Deep Mandeep, Japji Khaira and Tania.

The trailer shows that the father wants his son to take up the traditional path which means studying well and getting a decent job, but the son isn’t inclined towards academics and wants to pursue his career as a cricketer.

Packed with the right dialogues, some emotional scenes played remarkably well by Ghuggi, and nice background score, the trailer is a treat to watch. Here’s hoping that the movie – Son of Manjeet Singh will be as good.
