While he’s already done three Punjabi movies this year, one of them being an all-time hit Carry On Jatta 2, the desi rockstar is now readying himself for a couple of songs, Manje Bistre 2 and of course, that flick with Sargun Mehta, which everyone’s eager to know more about. 

While we broke the news to you a couple of weeks back that in the last week of September Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta will begin the shoot of their first film together – Chandigarh Ambarsar Chandigarh – in the holy city of Amritsar, we’ve got more details about the same now.  

Chandigarh Ambarsar Chandigarh will be helmed by Karan Gulani who earlier directed Punjabi movie, Sarvann starring Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal. It is produced by Sumit Dutt, a popular name in Bollywood behind films like Bodyguard, Jai Ho and more. The film is said to be a love story and shall be released somewhere in June next year. So, on one hand, we shall see Gippy and Simi Chahal pairing up for the first time in Manje Bistre 2 (Releasing on April 12, 2019), on the other, the actor will share the screen with Sargun in Chandigarh Ambarsar Chandigarh next June.

‘Jindari’s poster has been released and it suggests the possibility of another intense Punjabi movie coming our way just the way Kharoud’s movies are, usually.

Reportedly, Dev has also worked on the script of the film, and it is slated to release this November. The exact date is yet to be revealed.

Directed by Ashish Bhatia, the movie has been produced by GD Productions. Besides Dev Kharoud, the cast of ‘Jindari’ includes Guggu Gill along with Victor Jhon, Drishti Grewal, Karan Dhaliwal, Deep Dhillon, Hobby Dhaliwal and Bollywood veteran actor, Prem Chopra.

Kanwar Grewal Unveils The Poster Of ‘Burj Lahore Da’ at An Event By Best Zone Records

Best Zone Records – a music company owned by renowned fimmaker, Manmohan Singh recently organized a cultural event on the eve of Rakhi, called  “Rakhi Fiesta” which was partnered by VR Punjab Mall, Kharar.

There was lot of participation from Punjab’s Music and Film Fraternity with renowned singers like Kanwar Grewal, Nishawan Bhullar, Rupin Khalon and Bhatti Bhariwal being the Guest of Honors in the event. One of the main attraction of the event was the unveiling of the poster of Kanwar Grewal’s upcoming song, “Burj Lahore Da”, which is being released by Best Zone Records only.

Though the event was based on Rakhi but there was a focus on two main issues of Punjab, “Drug Abuse” and “Women Empowerment” depicted beautifully in a play – “Mitti” enacted at the event. Kudos to Best Zone Records and Manmohan Singh to take up such social topics and organize the event. 

Another main attraction of the event was the Bhangra Performance by 22 Darshi grouo which was followed by the singing performances of Parrav Virk, R-Thav, Lakhi Ghumaan and Param.

Best Zone Records is based in Mohali for the last couple of years and has been continuously working hard towards its recognition throughout Punjab.

While  ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’, produced by Binnu Dhillon himself along with A&A Advisors yielded enormous success at the box-office this July, for his next, Binnu Dhillon has joined hands with Sargun Mehta to roll out another entertainer called ‘Kala Shah Kala’ which shall also see Jordan Sandhu in it.

While  ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’, produced by Binnu Dhillon himself along with A&A Advisors yielded enormous success at the box-office this July, for his next, Binnu Dhillon has joined hands with Sargun Mehta to roll out another entertainer called ‘Kala Shah Kala’ which shall also see Jordan Sandhu in it.

The muhurat of the same was done yesterday and the film is already on floors. While talking to Binnu Dhillon, the actor revealed that Kala Shah Kala is a concept based entertaining film that will talk about the story of a dark-complexioned man and his struggles of finding the love of his life. Though the film touches a sensitive social subject, the actor/producer says the film is going to be a full-on laughter riot. 

The release date of Kala Shah Kala is 15th March 2019. The lead actress Sargun Mehta took it to her social media handle to share the release date with her fans:

Binnu Dhillon also shared some pictures from the muhurat on his Facebook and Instagram account. 

Starring Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta and Jordan Sandhu in pivotal roles, the movie is based on situational comedy. The film is written and being helmed by Amarjit Singh. It is produced by Binnu’s Naughty Men Productions and Sargun Mehta.

While film ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’ – written and produced by Gippy Grewal is running successfully at the box office, the desi rockstar yesterday made an official announcement of Manje Bistre 2.

Written by Gippy Grewal, the movie has been directed by Baljit Singh Deo, the movie is scheduled to release on 12 April 2019. It is the sequel to the 2017 released movie ‘Manje Bistre’ produced by Humble Motion Pictures. The original had Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa in the lead, but the sequel will have Simi Chahal opposite the ‘Carry On Jatta’ fame. In an interview Gippy had said that Simi’s introduction in the cast was made to bring some freshness. He also added that he found Simi as a better fit for the movie.

On the other hand, Mar Gaye Oye Loko has done extemely well at the box-office over the weekend leaving behind Hindi films like Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir se and Stree by great margin.

Rhythm Boyz Announce The Release Of Car Reebna Wali

In a big announcement today, Rythm Boyz Entertainment – the makers of films like Angrej, Bambukat, Ashke, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, Lahoriye and Love Punjab, revealed the release dates of their next projects. One of them being the sequel of Ashke (Ashke 2 to get released on 26th July next year), and the others being – Amberdeep’s ‘Car Reebna Wali’ and Harish Verma’s untitled film.

Car Reebna Wali is slated to get released in this year itself on 14th of December. Amberdeep who started his career as a dialogue and story writer in Punjabi films has gone on to display his talent as a director and an actor as well, over the years. We’re not sure yet whether he’ll be writing, directing or acting in this one. But, keep watching this space for more details within just a day or two.

Another announcement that the team of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment made today is of releasing a film starring Harish Verma. The film is yet untitled but its going to get released on the 8th of Februrary next year. Harish Verma, who last impressed the audience with a super-hit, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua in April this year, is much in-demand these days and reportedly, choosing his scripts carefully. Reports also suggest that the actor wants to work with Rhythm Boyz Entertainment exclusively for now.
