After dishing out superhits like Mr and Mrs 420 series and Uda Aida recently, Rrupaali is back with a bang and the teaser of her next film – ’15 Lakh Kadon Aauga’ illustrates her daring attitude as this film is a satire on fake promises being made by our country’s powermen – in this case being the sum of Rs 15 lakh that PM Modi allegedly promised to give to a common man.

Featuring singer-turned-actor Ravinder Grewal in the lead along with pretty lady Pooja Verma, ’15 Lakh Kadon Aauga’s’ teaser begins with a mimicked voice-over of PM Modi and ends with ‘Ache Din Aayenge’ joomla. In between, one can see comic situations suggesting the film to be a light-hearted comic caper making a satire on our social system and people’s expectations!
Directed by Manpreet Brar, 15 Lakh Kadon Aauga is certainly a film to look forward to. It releases on 10th May 2019.

The charm of the bygone era when Punjabi weddings were all about singing bolliyaan, tapping the feet to bhangra & giddha and collecting ‘Manje Bistre’ will come alive on the silver screen on April 12, 2019 as Manje Bistre 2 will mark its release worldwide.
The 2017 Punjabi family drama romantic comedy film, Manje Bistre was a super-duper blockbuste and on this Baisakhi, the sequel of the movie is all set to make a comeback with resonating madness, romance, comedy, and laughter. So, we strike a contrast between both the parts on what all can you expect!

The plot of Manje Bistre and its sequel is the main differentiator between the two. While the first part of the series was set-up in a traditional backdrop of Punjab, Manje Bistre 2 celebrates the NRI Punjabi wedding. The story of Manje Bistre revolved around a Punjabi wedding, with elements of romance and comedy. Wherein Sukhi, while preparing for his sister’s wedding, meets Rano and immediately falls in love with her. Rano, being Sukhi’ sister’s friend is a hesitant lover and during their romantic alliance many other characters are introduced throughout the film.
However, Manje Bistre 2 narrates the tale of a wedding happening in Canada with all Punjabi rituals. Amid the wedding celebration and rituals, Gippy Grewal, the lead actor falls for a beautiful girl played by Simi Chahal and their romance starts stirring. However, the trouble in the paradise comes when Gippy unknowingly ends up having a heated argument with Simi’s father.

While Manje Bistre saw the romantic affair of Sonam Bajwa and Gippy Grewal, Manje Bistre 2 will witness the first time on-screen duo of Gippy Grewal and Simi Chahal who made her Punjabi film debut with Bambukat in 2016. The jodi is being praised by the critics for their jovial charm.

Yaara Ve, which was touted as a joyful period film based on the pre-Independence era in Punjab, has opened to a great audience in theatres today. Starring Gagan Kokri, Monica Gill, Raghveer Boli and Yuvraj Hans in the lead roles, the film is directed by Rakesh Mehta.
Alongside the lead star cast of the film, stellar actors like veteran Punjabi actor Yograj Singh, Sardar Sohi, BN Sharma, Nirmal Rishi, Rana Jang Bahadur, Malkit Rauni, Gurpreet Bhangu have also played important roles in Yaara Ve. It’s a story about three friends of pre independent era and how partition affected their lives. It promises to be a complete emotional journey with humor which balances the seriousness of the film.
The entire project is produced by ‘Golden Bridge Entertainment’ owned by Bally Singh Kakar.
Davinder Singh, an excited viewer said, “I enjoyed watching this film a lot. Everything, the story, comedy and emotions were on point. The message of the film has been beautifully conveyed. I just want people to go and watch ‘Yaara Ve’ with their family.”

Karamjit Anmol’s role of Saadhu Singh is such that it took about 3 hours to do his make-up and he was supposed to stay in it for 15 long hours at a stretch during the shoot.
The much-awaited Punjabi movie, Manje Bistre is now back with a bang and this time, it is definitely going to be double the fun and madness as the team has gone global with the fairytale wedding setting in Canada.
Produced & written by Gippy Grewal under the label of Humble Motion Pictures, the movie features Gippy Grewal, Simi Chahal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma, Sardar Sohi, and Hobby Dhaliwal in pivotal roles.
However, the most striking role of an 85 years old halwai, Saadhu Singh lies with Karamjit Anmol. A versatile Indian actor, Karmajit Anmol dons various hats including that of singer, comedian and film producer in the Ballewood industry.
This Baisakhi, he along with his team has reached Canada to add more fun to the sequel. “We were all fortunate enough to get the visa of Canada. So, this time we decided to collect the ‘Manje Bistre’ in Canada. It was a truly enchanting experience and all our Punjabi brothers & sisters out there helped us whole-heartedly,” smiles Karamjit Anmol.
His role of Saadhu Singh is such that it took about 3 hours to do his make-up and he was supposed to stay in it for 15 long hours at a stretch during the shoot. He got so habitual to that character that the visitors at the shoot actually started considering him to be an old man. “For an actor, it is the best thing to know that people actually resonate with your character and the overwhelming response that I received for Saadhu Singh was truly motivating for me. It was a great learning experience,” shares Karamjit Anmol, who has also given his voice for various music tracks in Manje Bistre 2.

It’s a film about how life was simple and fun for the common villagers in Punjab who didn’t understand the complexities of Politics of those times. One sudden night they are asked to go to their “respective” countries and how things relationships suffer, is what Yaara Ve is all about.
