The man behind penning down a super-hit title song of Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa and Amberdeep starrer, Laung Laachi, Harmanjeet Singh has become a father now.

Harmanjeet has been blessed with a baby boy on 10th January 2020. 

He shared this news on his instagram account and also mentioned his wife’s name – Amrit. While sharing the news Harmanjeet penned down a detailed emotional post on the life-giving process that a woman undergoes while becoming mother. 

On his Instagram post, actor Ammy Virk, Gurshabd and Jazz Dhami also commented congratulatory messages to him. 

Here’s what Harmanjeet wrote in Punjabi while announcing the news of his son.

Song laung laachi which was filmed on Neeru Bajwa, Ammy Virk and Amberdeep became a runaway success instantly in 2018 and stormed the music charts allover the world. The song also became the first Indian song to have crossed the 1 Billion mark on Youtube. It was even used in a Bollywood film featuring Kriti Sanon.

After raising mercury levels with his latest outing in a Punjab song titled ‘Dhakka’, Sidhu Moose Wala is back in a new avatar in his song called ‘Old Skool’.

He’s the man who’s not only penned but also sung extremely successful Punjabi hit songs like  Dollar, Same Beaf and So High. Recently the audio version of Sidhu Moose Wala’s Dhakka was leaked and it became a hit overnight. Taking inspiration from it, Moose Wala soon released its video as well which was again well-received by Punjabi music lovers.

But now Moose Wala has rolled another Punjabi number called ‘Old Skool’ which is somehow different from the rest of his songs. Old Skool presents Sidhu Moose Wala in a new style. 

The lyrics of ‘Old Skool’ have been jointly written by Prem Dhillon, Sidhu Moose Wala and Naseeb. Naseeb has also done rap in this song. 

Like his other songs, Sidhu Moose Wala’s Old Skool is also being liked by the Punjabi audience so far. The beats are catchy and so are the lyrics, which are likely to become a rage among the youth very soon. 

Besides music, Sidhu Moose Wala also remains in the news due to one controversy or the other. His rivalry with Karan Aujla often manages to grab headlines. 

But now there’s another reason that Sidhu Moose Wala will be talked about and that’s going to be his debut in Punjabi cinema in the male lead. Yes, Sidhu Moose Wala will be seen opposite one of the top heroines of Punjabi cinema i.e. Mandy Takhar in his debut Punjabi movie – Yes, I Am A Student.

Although Sidhu Moose Wala was also seen in a guest appearance in Aditya Sood’s ‘Teri Meri Jodi’ that released in 2019, but in ‘Yes I Am A Student’, Sidhu Moose Wala will play the proper male lead.

As singer and actor Gurnam Bhullar had promised, he released his first Punjabi song of 2020 today titled ‘Jhanjran’. 

A folk dance number Jhanjran is composed by very talented Preet Hundal and penned down by Vicky Dhaliwal. Besides being an upbeat song that’ll make you tap your feat right away, Gurnam Bhullar’s Jhanjran is an amazing number to feast your eyes on to as well. 

Replete with lots of vibrant colors, Gurnam Bhullar looks good in modern outfit. In a few lines, one can say that ‘Jhanjran’ is that proper bhangra number that will get you grooving instantly.

Be it fun and quirky lyrics, to the regular Punjabi beats, to a groovy composition, the song is sure to become another party number for Punjabis to dance upon in no time.

As far as Gurnam Bhullar’s filmy front is concerned, he is presently busy with the shoot of his upcoming Punjabi movie, ‘Sohreyan Nu Dafa Karo’. Further, he also made an announcement a few weeks ago about his producing a movie in 2020. The film is titled ‘Main Vyan Ni Karona Tere Naal’ and this film will be released in September this year. 

Gurnam Bhullar’s ‘Sohreyan Nu Dafa karo’ will star Sargun Mehta as the female lead. Sargun Mehta and Gurnam Bhullar have worked together earlier as well in 2019 as a lead pair in ‘Surkhi Bindi’. 

 Slated to release on May 29th, Sohreyan Nu Dafa Karo is eagerly awaited by fans as is his another film titled Koka, which releases on 12th February 2021.

Khatre Da Ghuggu, the first Punjabi movie releasing in 2020, starring Jordan Sandhu and Diljott is in the news because of its unique romantic-comedy track. Now the title track of the movie is out. 

After hooking the audience with its trailer, the makers of Khatre Da Ghuggu are doling out one amazing song after another to grip the audience’s attention even further. Releasing on 17th January, Khatre Da Ghuggu title track has been jointly sung by Jordan Sandhu and Gurlez Akhtar. 

Besides the vocals by Jordan Sandhu and Gurlez Akhtar, the song has lyrics by Bunty Bains and music by Davvy Singh.

As far as the video of Khatre Da Ghuggu’s title track goes, it features Jordan Sandhu and Diljot who are dancing amazingly well.  BN Sharma can also be seen enjoying the track in his cute way.

Slated to release on January 17th, ‘Khatre Da Ghuggu’ is a Shivtar Shiv and Aman Cheema directorial. Further, alongside Jordan and Diljot, the movie stars B.N. Nimrat Khaira who is a leading female singer of Punjab has recently released a song called ‘Lehenga’ which is receiving quite a lot of ‘love’ from her fans. 

While Nimrat Khaira’s last song which released in 2019 was a sad melody, Lehenga is a sweet romantic number which can be danced upon. Yes, a fun track, Lehenga is features an adorable tale of a newly wed couple, and gives you an opportunity to shake your leg as well.

Nimrat Khaira had made her debut as an actress in 2018 with Tarsem Jassar in Nadar Films’ ‘Afsar’ which unfortunately didn’t do well at the box-office at all. We hope that Nimrat Khaira’s Jodi with Diljit will be loved by Punjabi cinema fans allover the world. After all, her acting skills were appreciated by critics in ‘Afsar’, so the girl definitely deserves another chance and what better could it be than Jodi starring Punjabi cinema’s top actor, Diljit Dosanjh. 

Diljit Dosanjh himself is basking in the glory of his Bollywood movie, Good Newzz’s success. The film opened really well at the box-office. Besides Diljit, Good Newws starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The film was produced by Karan Johar.

Jasmine Sandlas had made it to the headlines with her super-hit song – Mujhe Yaar Na Mila from Salman Khan’s Kick in 2014 and since then there’s been no looking back for her.
