Exclusive: Kulraj Randhawa Finally Talks About Her ‘Absence’ From Punjabi Cinema

Kulraj Randhawa, once a top heroine in Punjabi cinema, who ruled the industry with films like Mannat and Tera Mera Ki Rishta remained absence from Punjabi cinema for a very long time. In the last few years, she only did a cameo in Double Di Trouble (2014) and a social film called Needhi Singh.

Upon speaking to Iampunjaabi.com in an exclusive interview, Kulraj Randhawa, who is now making a return with a comic family drama – Naukar Vahuti Da – revealed her exact reasons as to what caused her to take a long break from Punjabi cinema.

The ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ actress said in a candid chat that first, she was busy in her Bollywood career and then she had to move to Canada for some works. A Masters in Business Administration, Kulraj Randhawa had to accomplish certain professional tasks in Canada which required her to stay there.

She also finally talked about as to what had happened during ‘Punjab 1984’ times, when all of a sudden Sonam Bajwa took her place in the movie in 2014.

“Naukar Vahuti Da Gives The Message Of Counting Your Blessings” : Binnu Dhillon

Iampunjaabi.com recently spoke with Binnu Dhillon who will next be seen in upcoming comedy drama movie, Naukar Vahuti Da.

In present age’s rat race and the hustle-bustle of everyday life, we all tend to forget the worth of priceless relationships and other blessings in disguise, and upcoming Punjabi comedy drama movie, Naukar Vahuti Da will translate the same on the silver screen on 23rd August, 2019.

Talking about the film, the lead actor Binnu Dhillon said to Iampunjaabi.com, “It was definitely the content-rich script of the movie which motivated me to be a part of it. Producers usually make stories before marriage however, there are only fewer movies which show what happens post it and that’s what makes Naukar Vahuti Da unique in its own way.”

Naukar Vahuti Da narrates the tale of a married couple named Shivinder and Neetu who decide to part ways due to frequent tussles and amidst all this, their adorable daughter, Mannat becomes a victim to unfavourable circumstances. It was the seriousness of this issue and the dire need to give a message to the society to count their blessings is what struck a chord with the lead actor of the movie, Binnu Dhillon to take the plunge.

“The movie traces the different emotions which are involved in a relationship and it also gave me an opportunity to play dual roles which helped me enhance my skills as an artist. I am hopeful that it will be loved by the audiences,” he further added.

Binnu Dhillon will be seen parallel to Yamla Pagla Deewana fame actress, Kulraj Randhawa. The duo was last seen together in Punjabi romantic drama movie, Tera Mera Ki Rishta (2009). The movie also stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Preet Anand, and Upasna Singh in pivotal roles.

Directed by Smeep Kang, Naukar Vahuti Da is produced by Rangrezaa films in association with the Omjee Star Studios and Smeep Kang Productions. The music of the movie is given by Gurmeet Singh and the storyline has been penned by Vaibhav and Sherya.

Qismat Makers Announce Their Next Film Titled ‘Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gya’

After ‘Qismat’ and ‘Surkhi Bindi’, the makers Ankil Vijan, Navdeep Narula and Gurjit Singh are ready to roll out their next production titled ‘Sohreya Da Pind Aa Gya’.

The title poster of the movie was shared on social media page of Shri Narotamji Films Production, and the movie is slated to release on November 29, this year.

However, the makers have not yet released about the star cast of the movie. The movie has been written by Amberdeep Singh. The ace filmmaker of the Punjabi film industry, Ksshitij Chaudhary will be directing the film.

Ammy Virk’s ‘Harjeeta’ Bags ‘The Best Punjabi Film Award’ At National Film Awards 2019

In the 66th National Film Awards, Ammy Virk’s Harjeeta has won the Best Punjabi Film Title. Even the child artiste, Sameep Singh has won the title of best child artist for his debut movie ‘Harjeeta’.

Sameep Singh played young Harjeeta, in the biopic based on Indian Hockey player Harjeet Singh Tuli. Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, ‘Harjeeta’ was released last year on May 18th.

Ammy Virk worked very hard to physically transform himself in playing the titular role of Harjeet Singh Tuli, who was India’s captain in the Men’s Hockey Junior World Cup 2016. It was under Singh’s captaincy that India won the trophy after a wait of 2 decades.

The other cast of the movie includes Sawan Rupowali, Sameep Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Raj Jhinjer, Gurpreet K Bhangu, Parkash Gadu, Sukhi Chahal and Jarnail Singh.

It’s nice to know that the film has received recognition at the national level after about 15 months of its release.
