1. A classic remake: What started with Suriya and Anushka Shetty starrer Tollywood movie, Singam (2010) eventually led Bollywood to release its own version of Singham (2011) starring Ajal Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal. The sequel of Singham, Singham Returns was also released three years later. After being reckoned as a classic action drama movie, Singham is all set to pave its way in the Punjabi film industry with Parmish Verma and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles.

2. Witness ‘Punjab Da Sher’ step into the Shoes of ‘Singham’: Punjabi singer, actor and producer, Parmish Verma is renowned for his chartbuster tracks like Gaal Ni Kadni & Shada and critically acclaimed movie, Rocky Mental. This year, Verma is all set to create history with the Punjabi remake of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham. “It is a very proud moment for me to announce that I will be seen in the South and Bollywood blockbuster movie, Singham’s Punjabi remake. The movie has been made by Ajay Devgan in association with Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Omjee Group (Munish Sahni). I would like to thank almighty, my family and all my fans for showering me with their unconditional love and support,” stated he in the official announcement of the movie on his social media portals.

3. The romantic masala: The queen of Punjabi film industry, Sonam Bajwa and Punjab Da Sher, Parmish Verma will be seen together on the silver screen for the first time in Singham. “There is a romantic angle in the film that is running parallelly and the female lead has a few cute scenes in it. These scenes are such that people will have a smile on their face whenever I would come on the screen. The makers wanted someone who can bring effortless chemistry on screen. Panorama Studios and T-series called me up to be a part of the film. So, I said yes,” shared Sonam with a leading daily.

4. Scintillating & dynamic action: The storyline of Singham will be seen to be a blessing in disguise for all the action drama Punjabi lovers. The movie will witness Parmish Verma taking charge as the DSP of Singham Khurd, Dilsher Sekhon who sets out to end the scourge of drug addiction among the youth of Punjab. This sets him against Bhuller, a vicious business tycoon with connections in high places and the story unfolds as Dilsher walks in his quest for justice.

5. A complete family package: A complete family entertainer, Singham has elements of action, drama, thrill, and romance. So, it has something for everyone alike!

The movie is directed by Navaniat Singh and produced under the banner of Ajay Devgn films.  Kumar Mangat, Abhishek Pathak and Bhushan Kumar are the co-producers of the movie.

In addition to Parmish Verma and Sonam Bajwa, the movie also stars Kartar Cheema, Hardeep Gill, Anita Devgan, Sardar Sohi, Rupinder Rupi, and Prakash Gadhu.

[h4]After releasing the trailer of Naukar Vahuti Da and garnering amazing response on the same, the makers of ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’ are all set to release the title track of the movie.[/h4]

What’s interesting is that the song has been sung by super star Gippy Grewal. The song is scheduled to release tomorrow i.e. 9^th August and the poster of the same is out.

As far as the lyrics are concerned, Happy Raikoti has penned them and the song is composed by Gurmeet Singh.

Releasing on August 23, ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’ is a comedy drama directed by Smeep Kang and produced under the banner of Rangrezaa Films in association with Omjee Star Studios n Smeep Kang Productions. The movie has a fresh pairing of Binnu Dhillon and Kulraj Randhawa playing husband and wife.

The video was made on the sets of Jhalley, the shoot of which is taking place in the UK. Jhalley will be Sargun Mehta’s and Binnu Dhillon’s second movie together after the massive success of their first outing – ‘Kala Shah Kala’ released in February this year.

After producing a mega blockbuster like Ardaas Karaan, which has succesfully entered in its third week now, the producer in Gippy Grewal has awakened again. Now, once again under his own label, Humble Motion Pictures, Gippy Grewal will be producing a web-series titled ‘Warning’. 

Directed by Amar Hundal and written by Gippy Grewal, the tagline of the web-series seems to be quite interesting: ‘Vehle haan, koyi banda bunda hi marwa lo’.

Guru Randhawa, who was recently attacked in Vancouver by an unknown person after he had finished his concert, is now back to India. Guru’s management team shared the complete incident on his Social media handle.

The performer was exiting Queen Elizabeth Theatre when he was attacked from behind, as per the reports published in various leading websites.

The management shared a picture of Guru with bandage over his eyebrows, and wrote: “Guru is back in India with four stitches on his right eyebrow and mega successful USA/Canada tour. The incident happened on 28th July in Vancouver when Guru told one punjabi man not to come on stage while he was performing for the audience. That man was trying to come on stage again and again and then he started fighting with everyone backstage. He was known to the local promoter Surinder Sanghera who sent him away during the show.”

Popular Punjabi actor-singer, Rosshan Prince has finally announced the release date of his upcoming film ‘Nanka Mel’. The film starring Rubina Bajwa in the lead will release on November 15.

Punjabi film ‘Chal Mera Putt’ starring Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal in the lead, has been receiving positive reviews from the Punjabi movie lovers across the globe. Released on July 26, the film has emerged the highest Punjabi opening weekend of 2019 by grossing A$ 313,404. 

Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took down to his official social media handle to share the news with movie lovers.

He quoted: “Have said this earlier, now saying it again… #Hindi films no longer dominate/monopolise international markets nowadays… While several ‪#Telugu‬ films have eclipsed the biz of ‪#Hindi‬ films in #USA, #Punjabi, ‪#Telugu‬ and ‪#Tamil‬ films are now drawing bigger numbers in #Australia.

Directed by Janjot Singh, the movie has been written by Rakesh Dhawan. The story of the film revolves around Indian and Pakistani nationals trying hard to make a living in a foreign land. Going by the trailer, the film is very entertaining.

Majority of the fans have praised Amrinder Gill for sharing screen space with Pakistani actors Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti and Akramudas.
