On the very first day of its release, Punjabi period film, Nadhoo Khan garnered appreciation from allover.

The much-awaited Punjabi period film, Nadhoo Khan was finally released on 26th April, 2019 and the movie witnessed Punjabis going to watch the movie in large numbers. Directed by Imran Sheikh, produced by Harpreet Singh Devgun, Achint Goel and Rakesh Dahiya and penned by Sukhjinder Singh Babba, Nadhoo Khan has a really unique storyline which opens the first-of-its-kind period drama genre in the Ballewood industry. With a fine blend of romance, drama, comedy and action, Nadhoo Khan traces the journey of a wrestler’s life.

With Harish Verma and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, Nadhoo Khan stands testament to the rich culture of Punjab, especially the strong association of Punjabis and the ‘akhada’.

“It’s true that Nadhoo Khan is coming after exact one year of Golak Bugni…I wanted to do something that is content driven. I did get offers in between but those weren’t stories I could relate with. I was looking for a good script and Nadhoo Khan fulfilled the criterion,” stated Harish Verma to Iampunjaab.com in an interview.

The movie also stars BN Sharma, Baninderjit Singh Bunny, Hobby Dhaliwal, Malkeet Rauni, Rupinder Rupi, Gurpreet Bhangu, Harinder Bhullar, Gurchet Chitarkaar, Simran Dhindsa, Parkash Gadhu, Mahabir Bhullar, Raj Dhaliwal, Satwinder Kaur, Seema Kaushal, Master Ansh Tejpal and Chacha Bisna in pivotal roles.

15 Lakh Kadon Aauga Title Track Gets Released

15 Lakh Kadon Aauga, the first-of-its-kind Punjabi comedy, starring Ravinder Grewal and Pooja Verma releases on 10th May. Produced by Rrupaali Gupta of Frriday Rush Motion Pictures, the film is directed by Manpreet Brar.

After dropping its trailer, now the makers have released its title track which is sure to grip the audience tight right till the release of the film. Sung by Ravinder Grewal, the song shows the innocence with which a common man gets befooled by our leaders. Talking about the plot, Muklawa is a period family drama that showcases the times when a “muklawa” ceremony was a pre-requisite for a groom to take the bride home. 15 Lakh Kado Aauga (Trailer): A Satire On False Promises And Social Gullibility

Frriday Russh Motion Pictures led by Rrupaali Gupta, is one production house that’s known for churning out films that are always “hatke”! Be it Punjab’s first gender-change comedy (Mr and Mrs 420 series) or a family entertainer with a strong social message (Uda Aida), this production house has always served our audience with something new.

Now walking on the same lines, Rrupaali Gupta with her team is all set to present us “15 Lakh Kado Aauga”- the trailer of which was released just a few days ago. Starring Ravinder Grewal and Pooja Verma in the lead, the film’s title and teaser already suggested what theme it is based on and the trailer, more or less, confirmed the same.

The trailer shows how an almost good-for-nothing man dabbles in various professions, lying to his family constantly just to earn some easy moolah. One fine day though he realises that being a ‘Godman’ is a highly prolific “business” considering how vulnerable Indian public, usually is. So as he begins his new work, he also becomes acquainted with one of our politician’s alleged promise of crediting every Indian with Rs 15 lakh, once his party comes to power! Hence ensues a series of comic events making “15 Lakh Kadon Aauga” a promising socio-satirical drama.

Manje Bistre 2: The Sequel that lived up to Expectations

It is not easy for sequels of big blockbusters to receive the similar response as the original did. However, in the case of Manje Bistre 2 – the sequel of 2017’s highest opener – Manje Bistre, the box-office response is praiseworthy!

While the film grossed INR 1.5 crore on the first day in East Punjab itself, the second day it recorded INR 2 Crore in East Punjab. The film’s weekend business was commendable too and this Gippy Grewal starrer is being especially praised for combining culture and comedy through the theme of an NRI wedding. While the first Manje Bistre was based in Punjab, the sequel was based in Canada depicting the lives of Punjabis abroad and how their living away doesn’t affect their love for Punjabi culture and traditions.

Directed by Baljit Singh Deo, Manje Bistre 2 was written and produced by Gippy Grewal. The film had Simi Chahal as its female lead while the supporting cast included talented actors from the industry like Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi, B.N. Nadhoo Khan’s Sad Love Song – Dil Diyan Gallan Is Out

Nadhoo Khan, a film starring Harish Verma and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead is releasing on 26th April. Directed by Imran Sheikh, it’s a first Punjabi period film to be shot in wide frame and will depict the story of a wrestler on the big screen.

While the fllm’s songs like Multan and Sharbati Akhiyan have already received a huge response from the Punjabi music lovers, its much awaited romantic ballad – Dil Diyan Gallan which was released today, is all set to make the music lovers emotional.

Sung by Hardeep Singh, its music has been composed by Kuldeep Shukla and the lyrics have been penned down by Gurnam Sidhu Gama. The song has been released on White Hill Music’s official channel.
