While sharing the first day shoot picture of Rang, Gurnam Bhullar wrote a heartfelt note. He said that it’s every artiste’s dream that he or she gets to play one such character in life for which he/she is remembered forever.
“‘Rang’ is one such character of my life and I am thankful to the entire team of this film for offering me this role,” he said.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Rang is produced by Dalmora Films and Villagers Films Studios. Besides Rang, Gurnam Bhullar will also be seen in another film with Sargun Mehta (after Surkhi Bindi) which is as of now titled as – ‘Sohreyan De Pind’.

On behalf of Gippy Grewal, who is in Canada these days, the film’s director Rana Ranbir took to social media to share the pictures of the ‘Muhurat’ of Posti. Along with the pictures, he also mentioned the fact that on producer Gippy Grewal’s request the team of Humble Motion Pictures started the shoot after planting 5 saplings and visiting Gurudwara.
Film Posti will star Surilee Gautam and Babbal Rai in the lead along with Prince Kanwaljit in a significant role. More details awaited.

“It has always been a great experience working with Gippy Grewal. He is a very humble and talented actor to work with,” shared Khan who marked her debut in the Punjabi film industry with Jatt James Bond about five years ago. Her leading role in this romantic thriller was critically acclaimed and appreciated by the audiences.
Zareen Khan also remembers having eaten ‘Ghee Shakkar’ for the first time in life which was brought to her by Gippy while shooting in Punjab.
Khan has been seen in the Punjabi film industry working only with Grewal, to which she shared, “Gippy not only makes me feel comfortable in my skin but also writes good quality content which motivates me to sign-up for his movies. It was a lot of fun shooting with him and the entire team of Daaka and needless to say, the final product has come to be beautiful. I am hopeful that the audience will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
Khan made her screen debut with a leading role in Anil Sharma’s period film Veer (2010) co-starring with Salman Khan for which she was nominated for the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut and ever since then, there has been no turning back.
Ahead of just a few days of its release, Khan has left no stone unturned to promote Daaka on her social media portals. “I am super excited about Daaka’s release and I would like to request all my fans to support me like they always do,” she stated in an interview.

While talking about the star-cast in the movie, Grewal, who is reckoned to be the man behind giving actors the role of their lifetime shared, “Daaka has given Rana Ranbir, Hobby Dhaliwal, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, and Ravinder Mand the role of their lifetime. They will be seen in a first-of-its-kind avatar on the silver screen.”

“The writer in me automatically feels extremely elated in writing such characters that are meant to be prented larger-than-life on-screen, sometimes even larger than the protagonist,” said Grewal.
“I had to give a lot of thought behind how Sukhchain will make an entry in the movie, what background music will introduce him, what would be the first terrorizing words that he would utter and so on. I must say that not only Hobby ji but also the director, Baljit Singh Deo, supported me a lot in bringing this character alive on the screen in such an iconic way,” he further added.
Gippy Grewal himself will be seen playing the role of Shinda, a young boy who is deeply in love with Laali which is being played by Zareen Khan. Shinda is ready to go to any extent to marry his better-half and that’s how the story unfolds.
Shinda’s partner-in-crime, Balli his childhood friend who is being played by Rana Ranbir is seen to be supporting him through the thick and thin. “The storyline of Daaka has been written beautifully with a lot of thrill and suspense that will keep the viewers intrigued till the end. Upcoming Punjabi movie, Daaka is seen to be making headlines owing to the comeback of Jatt James Bond duo, Zareen Khan and Gippy Grewal. Khan, who garnered recognition from the item number “Character Dheela” in Ready, which was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2011 marked her debut in the Punjabi film industry with Jatt James Bond about five years ago. The movie grossed over twenty crores in the box office and was critically acclaimed for its quality content and proficient acting by the the cast.
Directed by Rohit Jugraj, Jatt James Bond featured Gippy Grewal in the shoes of Shinda, a young boy who was mistreated by his relatives and Zareen Khan in the shoes of Laali, Shinda’s better-half.
“Daaka and Jatt James Bond are somewhat the similar category of film since the characters of Shinda and Laali are the same. However, Daaka is a notch higher in terms of humour, comedy, drama, and thrill. It will bring to Punjabi film industry the first-of-its-kind comedy action thriller movie,” shared Grewal, the actor and screenplay writer of the movie.

As far as the lead starcast of the film is concerned, it stars Roshan Prince and Neeru’s younger sister, Rubina Bajwa in the lead roles. Roshan Prince is working with Neeru Bajwa after six years. Earlier he had starred opposite Neeru in a film called, Naughy Jatts in 2013.
