Ranjit Bawa Vs Kangana Ranaut: Why They Fought On Twitter? Did Kangana Really Block him?

It seems that Kangana Ranaut is all set to take ‘Pangaa’ with not just Bollywood fraternity but actors from Punjabi film industry as well now. Her Twitter Spat with Ranjit Bawa is indeed a proof of the same!

It seems that Kangana Ranaut is all set to take ‘Pangaa’ with not just Bollywood fraternity but actors from Punjabi film industry as well now. Her Twitter Spat with Ranjit Bawa is indeed a proof of the same!

So what actually happened between the Kangana Ranaut and Ranjit Bawa on Twitter yesterday?

Since most of you perhaps know that the Indian Government has recently passed three new legislations for providing a barrier-free trade-mode for farmers produce outside notified grain markets.

With these ordinances, farmers can have a farming agreement with private players before the production. However, the farmers are not in favour of the ordinances, as they believe it will phase out the MSP and the traditional grain market system.

Therefore, the farmers across India, including Punjab, are protesting against the new measures, and their voices are being backed by several Punjabi artistes including Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Gippy Grewal, Jazzy B, Ammy Virk and many more.

Singer and actor Ranjit Bawa too has been quite vocal about the farmers’ issue across his social media platform and recently, took on Kangana Ranaut on one of her tweets, in which she compared the ‘people opposing the bill and misleading the protesting farmers’ to ‘terrorists’ same way like people who misled public during CAA – Citizenship Amendment Act.

Actually, Kangana’s tweet was a reply to Prime Minister Modi’s tweet in which he tried to clarify about the said bill.

Here’s a series of Tweets by Kangana and then Ranjit Bawa’s reaction to the same:

PM Modi’s Tweet:

Ranjit Bawa’s Reply To Kangana:

punjabi-movies-songs-iampunjaabi

Bawa’s tweet certainly didn’t go down well with a lot of Kangana Ranaut’s fans and they jumped in quickly to troll him and defend Kangana.

One of the Twitter user wrote – “She is not taking about farmers at all. Pahley padho theeksey. She is accusing those who are instigating Kissan. Bhailog thoda dimaag lagaao. Godo sey na samjho, use the head that god gave you.”

Another one tweeted – “Bhai aap tod madod kr kuch b smajh rhe ho chalo smjha jo smjha atleats oro ko to misguide mt kro. U mix 2 statement of her she said terrorist who appose caa and occupie the public road .and about farmer she said the person who misguide on caa that same person also misguide farmer”.

“@BawaRanjit literally unlettered man cant you just understand the context she’s pointing to opposition groups why you adding fuel to fire just making mountain out of molehills,” said another one.

Manje Bistre 3 will release on April 9, 2021.

While the original Manje Bistre was released in 2017 under Gippy Grewal’s home production banner – Humble Motion Pictures – and starred Sonam Bajwa as Gippy Grewal’s lead heroine, Manje Bistre 2 which released two years after that i.e. in 2019 had Simi Chahal pairing up with the superstar actor/producer.

Interestingly, the third film in the series was announced last year only.

Meanwhile on the music front, Gippy Grewal has released the song with famous Punjabi artiste, Karan Aujla – “Ask Them’.

Karan Aujla has also penned down the lyrics of the song. Ask Them was released on September 22nd.

On the film front, besides Manje Bistre 3, Gippy Grewal has also announced three more movies for 2021. He has also shot for his web-film ‘Warning’ which is announced to be made into a full feature film soon.

Meanwhile today (22nd September) also happens to be Gippy Grewal’s son, Shinda’s (Gurfateh) birthday. Shinda was born in 2012 and is 8 year old now.

While wishing his son a very happy birthday on Instagram, the singer/actor wrote: “Happy birthday my son! You are my pride, my love and my everything.”

Philanthropy

Whether it’s Punjab floods or Covid-19 crisis, Gippy Grewal has generally made sure that through his social influence, he keeps spreading messages of social awareness among his fans.

Recently since the Indian government passed three legislations which the farmers in Punjab are not in agreement with, and hence have started protesting, Gippy Grewal also expressed his resentment on the issue on social media.

He shared his feelings by sharing this video:

Gippy Grewal was also in news recently for sharing an old picture of himself in which he barely looks like 13-14 year old, and asked his fans to find out which one in the group is he.

The picture also features his elder brother Sippy Grewal in the centre. Sippy Grewal is a film producer himself and a very well-known film distributor across Australia/New Zealand.

Sukh Sarpanch ‘Warns’ Singga On His Latest Release ‘SHO’: Gives A Befitting Reply

It’s not uncommon to see rival rappers and singers locking their horns with each other through their ‘Songs’ which serve as the perfect rebuttals. The latest to join the bandwagon is talented singer, Sukh Sarpanch, who has lashed out at popular singer ‘Singga’ for making light of Punjab police personnel in his song ‘SHO’.

Titled ‘Warn’ Sukhi Sarpanch gives a befitting reply to Singga with smashing lyrics by Sarpanch himself. The song is a thumping, adrenaline-rushing number with apt music by the Sukh again!

It seems Sukh Sarpanch is irked with Singga’s over-the-top attitude about himself in the song – S.H.O which was released this July. In this song, Singga is indirectly making light of Punjabi police personnel with lyrics implying that Punjab police serves tea to criminals.

Therefore Sukh Sarpanch has come up with his “Reply” to Singga’s S.H.O saying that Punjab Police is in fact, honest, brave and treats a criminal as a criminal with no preferential treatment given to anyone. On the other hand, regardless of who the criminal is, police doesn’t shy away from giving a good ‘lathi-charge’!

The lyrics of the song are praise Punjab Police and indeed, during lockdown/curfew times in Punjab due to Covid-19, it has been seen how diligently the police worked to ensure that the citizens abide by the ruling of the government.

On a lighter note, Sukh Sarpanch’s song has that chutzpah and ‘masala’ to make it an instant chartbuster. Music, lyrics and vocals – all combine together to make ‘Warn’ a smashing hit number from the word go!

Sidhu Moose Wala’s Anticipatory Bail Canceled? Booked For Another Song

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, a singer/rapper/lyricist in Punjab, who has remained in news more due to controversies than his songs, has come once again under the radar of Punjab Police.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, a singer/rapper/lyricist in Punjab, who has remained in news more due to controversies than his songs, has come once again under the radar of Punjab Police.

Punjab Police has now moved High Court to get his anticipatory bail canceled. He was booked for blatant glorification of gang culture and weapons in his songs.

Sidhu Moosewala has allegedly been facing allegations of firing from an AK-47 rifle in Badbar shooting range and in his latest song “Sanju” he has compared his case to another registered against Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.

https://twitter.com/AmanKayamHai_ET/status/1285078796895309824

In his latest song, Moosewala croons: “Jatt Utte case Jehda Sanjay Dutt Te, Case Koos Pende Mardaan Te Sohniye, Tension Na Liya Kar (Jat faces the case as Sanjay Dutt faced; men face cases, do not be tense, girl).”

The song Sanju, in the last three days itself got 16 million views on Youtube.

Earlier last month, in his song “Bambiha Bole”, released with Amrit Mann, both the singers had claimed that “SHO, SSP and DC are their friends”.

According to The Tribune, RTI activist Kuldeep Singh Khaira, who along with Parvinder Kitna, has filed a petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court, alleged that police officers were working as security guards of Moosewala rather than taking action against him.

Within 24 hours, another FIR was registered against all under the same sections at Dhuri Sadar police station on May 5 after another video showing Moosewala firing from his private pistol at Laddai Kothi shooting range surfaced.

“We are conducting raids to arrest Moosewala in AK-47 case registered at Dhanaula police station as he has not got bail in this case,” said Barnala SP Sukhdev Virk.

On May 17, police had added Sections 25 and 30 of the Arms Act, 1959, to both FIRs registered against Moosewala and others. All cops were suspended after the registration of FIR and since the addition of Arms Act. In the Sangrur case, all nine accused have got bail while in the Barnala case, Moosewala has not applied for bail.

Setbacks Due To Corona Lead To Depression In Pollywood

While Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide has shaken the core of Bollywood industry leading to debates on nepotism and millions of fans boycotting several noted film personalities, circumstances within Punjabi film industry also seem to be taking a sad turn.’

While Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide has shaken the core of Bollywood industry leading to debates on nepotism and millions of fans boycotting several noted film personalities, circumstances within Punjabi film industry also seem to be taking a sad turn.’

Translation: ‘What happened with Sushant Singh Rajput was really sad, but what the Punjabi industry is doing to us, is that correct? We are asking for our hard-earned money for the last one year. We are requesting (referring to those who owe him money), to please pay us our dues. No one will be able to see more Sushant in the industry.’

A recent Facebook post made by a noted Pollywood publicist – Laddi Cheema – has highlighted the dismal conditions in which a lot of people working for the industry, are right now currently.

According to Laddi Cheema’s post, before people in Punjab also begin taking their own lives like Sushant did, the filmmakers in Punjab must wake up from their slumber and pay to those who worked for them for years.

In a chat with Cheema, he revealed to Iampunjaabi.com that there are some producers in our film industry, who keep getting work done from various publicists, promoters and PR companies, promising them to pay after the film’s release.

A lot of his dues are pending since years but those producers have totally stopped responding now.

He also said that such people work like they’re your family when their movie is yet to release and take a complete U-turn when it comes to making payments.

Without naming anyone, Cheema hinted that some of these producers are the so-called big-shots in our industry.

While nepotism isn’t currently evident in Punjabi film industry, the groupism, unprofessionalism and pulling each other down using unscrupulous means aren’t uncommon here.  Will the current circumstances open up a series of debates in Pollywood too, that’s something one has to wait and watch!
