Bhajjo Veero Ve Trailer: Our Expectations Are Soaring High After Watching It

‘Car Reebna Wali’ name-changed to Bhajjo Veero Ve‘s trailer has been released today on the official Youtube Channel of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment. The film starring Simi Chahal and Amberdeep in the lead is releasing on 14th December.

Bankrolled by Rhythm Boyz & Hayre Omjee Studios, the film has been written as well as directed by one of the most well-known names in the industry – Amberdeep. This is going to be his second film as a lead after Laung Laachi with Neeru Bajwa. He had earlier also made a strong impact with very impressive performance in Lahoriye (2017).

As its evident from the trailer, the film is a comic take on those men who aren’t too lucky to get the opportunity of eating “shaadi ka laddu”. Hence their sympathies and affection for the opposite gender are a little too much than usual. The reasons for their not getting married range from not having enough education to having no close relatives to boast of! (Having some chacha, dada, mama nearby is kind of a pre-requisite in Punjab before asking for a bride’s hand from her father!)

Among this slew of bachelors, there comes the character of Amberdeep who has everything that a young man should have before getting hooked – education, good looks, right age and decency. However, his only problem is that he’s totally “Sorry Sorry” when it comes to relatives. Now how does he get his lady love – Simi Chahal? Seems our hero has to turn a dacoit to achieve his goal! Hence commences a series of dramatic twists and turns, introduction of the daunting Guggu Gill’s character, some goons mistaken as friends or friends mistaken as goons – We don’t know really! But it all seems everyone’s running around in confusion, which perhaps perfectly justifies the film’s title – Bhajjo Veero Ve.

Simi Chahal looks charming and ethereal. Her dialogue delivery is as usual top-notch. Amberdeep complements her bubbliness with his innocent expressions and grace. Hobby Dhaliwal’s Sorry Sorry is sure to get viral after this trailer!

Overall, we’ve really liked the trailer as it promises to serve a totally unique story on our platter. The trailer shows that the director also gives a nod to the ultimate ‘daakuaan wali film’ Sholay in a good-humored Punjabi way – a mark of respect for the ultimate Bollywood cult movie.

The songs running in the background in the trailer – one by Amrinder Gill and another one by Surinder Shinda enhance the overall quality of the trailer!

EXCLUSIVE: Deep Sidhu Will Now Be Seen As a Sportsman In SAADE AALE

Deep Sidhu, who has time and again proved that he’s not just a good-looking actor but also a very talented one, threw a surprise today when he gave us this news that he shall be seen as a Kabaddi Player in his next film titled SAADE AALE. So, after playing a suave cop in Rang Panjab, it’ll be interesting to see how smoothly Deep transitions into a village boy.

SAADE AALE which is slated to get released on 8th February 2019 will be directed by Jatinder Mauhar, the guy who had directed critically-acclaimed Sikander in 2013. It is bankrolled by Bathinde Wale Bai Films in association with Kuknoos Films.

Talking about the film Deep Sidhu told Iampunjaabi, “In Saade Aale, I am playing a sportsman named Manjit, who’s a captain of his village Kabaddi team. Though this film has its backdrop as Kabaddi but Kabaddi isn’t the main theme. It’s about Sportsmanship. It’s about proving the fact that sportsmen are beyond hatred and rivalry.”

Bhushan Kumar and Gippy Grewal Join Hands To Make 2 Punjabi Films Next Year

If there’s one man in Ballewood whose hands are always full with work, then there has to be Gippy Grewal. Be it acting, directing, writing or producing films, he certainly knows his craft well and how to make it succesful too!

Now in a major collaboration with T-Series, Gippy’s Humble Motion Pictures will be producig two more Punjabi films. While the two untitled films’ female cast is yet to be locked in, both the films will star Gippy in the lead role.

The first film is slated to go on the floor on February, 2019 and will be directed by Baljit Singh Deo. The second film, to be directed by Smeep Kang will begin shooting from April 20, 2019.

Commenting on the development Bhushan Kumar, chairman and managing director of T-Series says, “We have had a great relationship with Gippy for many years, having worked him on many songs. We look forward to collaborating with him on the two Punjabi films. I am sure it’s going to be a great ride.”

Gippy Grewal adds, “We’ve made films such as Manje Bistre, directed by Baljit Singh Deo and Carry On Jatta, directed by Smeep Kanga in the past. Our production house is no. 1 in Punjab. We are collaborating with the both directors once again and are hopeful that these two films will also become big hits in Punjab. With our new partnership with T-Series, we will be able to release these two films now on a big scale. I would like to thank Bhushanji who made this possible.”

Meanwhile it is Bhushan Kumar’s birthday today. Gippy wished him in the morning on Twitter as well! We wish them both a super-successful partnership ahead!

BREAKING: Binnu Dhillon INJURED, Hospitalized in Birmingham

In a shocking development that took place in the city of Birmingham in UK, Punjabi actor and producer Binnu Dhillon suffered from injury while shooting for an untitled Punjabi film.

When the news reached us, we tried to contact Binnu Dhillon who was taken to the hospital by then. Somehow through our reliable sources we managed to get to the truth of the matter.

It so happened that while filming a scuffle scene along with actors like Jaswinder Bhalla and Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon suffered an injury on his nose. During the shoot, one of the planters was supposed to be thrown at him but instead of whizzing past his face, the planter knocked his face with a lot of force, soon after which, his nose started bleeding profusely. He was quickly taken to the hospital and remained there all night.

Finally, after reaching the hotel, we managed to talk to Binnu Dhillon. Despite the pain, the actor said in his usualy good-humored way: “A lot of times my false news of hospitalisation has gone viral on the internet. But this time, yes it’s true! I really got injured but with God’s grace, I am all well now.”

Naukar Vahuti Da: Binnu Dhillon And Kavita Kaushik Come Back Together In 2019

Binnu Dhillon and Kavita Kaushik’s cute yet mature jodi won the hearts of Punjabis across the world when they featured together for the first time in ‘Vekh Baraatan Challiyaan (2017). The duo was so loved that their next film ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’ fetched them even bigger response at the box office the following year.

Now continuing their winning streak Kaushik and Dhillon have signed another film together called ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’.

Sources reveal that Sanjiv Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Ruchi Trehan, Ashu Munish Sahni and Smeep Kang have financed the project, while Smeep Kang will be directing this film. The movie will also star Jaswinder Bhalla and Upasna Singh in significant roles.

Laddu Barfi: Roshan Prince’s Next Punjabi Movie Goes On the floor

Starring Roshan Prince and Ronica Gandhi in the lead, Simerjit Singh’s next production venture titled Laddu Barfi has gone on the floors.

Shoot Of Punjabi Movie RABB DA RADIO 2 Commences

One content-rich film in the recent times that has touched the hearts of many avid viewers of Punjabi cinema, is Tarsem Jassar’s debut released last year – Rabb Da Radio. Rang Panjab: An Exciting Tale Of A Punjabi Police Officer’s Life

Ever since media received the news that Deep Sidhu, who performed an unforgettable role as ‘Jora’ in Jora 10 Numbaria, is coming up with his new flick RANG PANJAB, hype and expectations went soaring high – not just among us, the media persons, but also among the Punjabi audience that’s craving for some meaningful content from our makers. To know whether Deep Sidhu – the protagonist, Rakesh Mehta – the director, Gurpreet Bhullar – the writer, Mandeep Singh Sidhu/Raj Kundra – producers, and the rest of the team were able to fulfill our expectations or not, read on!

RANG PANJAB is a story of a boy-next-door whose life has been never smooth and destiny puts him through several unpleasant tests. His tumultous life, however, doesn’t stop him from becoming an officer in Punjab Police and hence ensues a series of twists and turns revealing the darkest secrets of our political and police system which make Rang Panjab, truly an exciting feature film to watch.

The pace is swift, some scenes are breathtakingly shot, the background music (Sunny Bawra & Inder Bawra), the songs (credit goes to lyricists like Amardeep Singh Gill and singer Sai Sultan for the title track which truly touches the soul), the dialogues (Amardeep Singh Gill) deserving of whistles and thunderous applause and so much more, Rang Panjab shall definitely provide you with an enigmatic cinematic experience with its edge-of-the-seat storyline and remarkable performances.

Talking about the performances, Deep Sidhu has once again proved that he’s an actor par excellence especially when it comes to the intense scenes. However he needs to improve a bit more when it comes to romantic scenes. Kartar Cheema has given one of the best performances of his life. He truly fits in the role of an antagonist. Hobby Dhaliwal is first-rate as usual and Reena Rai is pretty and all that, but she doesn’t really get a chance to prove her acting prowess through this film.

Our only complaint is that the suspense was ‘figure-outable’. The writer should’ve been more clever, perhaps!

Overall, Rang Panjab is a brilliant effort by the whole team that provides full on entertainment. Also, it is one of those rare films that shows a Punjabi Police Officer in a positive light. So book your tickets for Rang Panjab this weekend and gear up for fun-filled weekend.

Sharry Mann’s Marriage Palace Takes You Down the Memory Lane

The latest Punjabi flick, Marriage Palace is expected to get a Huge Box Office collection on the first day!

While Sharry Mann’s cuteness and childlike innocence are set to woo the fans, Payal Rajput’s bubbly girl-next-door character is going to emerge as one of the biggest factors to attract the audiences to the theatres this week. The duo star for the first time together in Marriage Palace which released today.

Set against the backdrop of early 90s era when love was expressed through letters, landline phones and music cassettes, Marriage Palace takes you on a trip down the memory lane, expecially for those who spent their childhood in those years. Packed with the right kind of punches, comedy that’s not forced but incorporated in the script according to situations, some tomfoolery which can be easily enjoyed with the family but if you’re one of those who want to know the logic behind everthing, then Sorry to say, Marriage Palace might disappoint you a great deal. Nevertheless, comedy is all about these illogical moments only, unlesss they don’t obviously seem to take a viewer’s intelligence forgranted, all is OK.

Well as far as the plot goes, most of you would be knowing before hand that the film is about a guy named Nimma who falls in love with Maani, who he wants to impress via music cassettes. Little does the poor guy know that the owner of the shop from where he buys the cassettes is the girl’s father only. Following some twists and turns and dialogues that take the movie to altogether new heights, Nimma manages to marry his love in the coveted and much-in-demand “Marriage Palace” but amid all the confusion carries the wrong bride home. Hence ensues this amusing comedy of errors which keeps you entertained till the very last frame.

Besides Payal Rajput and Sharry Mann, Marriage Palace also stars actors like B.N. Sharma, Harby Sangha, Anita Devgn, Nirmal Rishi, Rupinder Rupi, Nisha Bano, Simran Sehajpal, Ekta Gulati Khera, Umang Sharma, Ashok Pathak, and Sumit Gulati. All of them fit their parts well.

On the very first day of its release, Marriage Palace has received positive response from Ballewood lovers. Speaking about the same, Harleen Kaur from Patiala said, “Both Sharry Mann and Payal Rajput have done a prolific job in the movie. Marriage Palace is a complete family entertainment movie!”
