Desi Rockstar Gippy Grewal has bagged yet another Bollywood project after Lucknow Central and here are some special details about the same. 

He has now been signed on to work in a Bollywood movie but not in the capacity of an actor. Yes, Gippy is set to direct a film starring Taapsee Pannu. The hero is yet not finalised. But the grapevine suggests that the talks have been going on with Sidharth Malhotra and few others.

Produced by Sunir Khetrapal’s Azure Entertainment, the film is called Dare and Lovely. According to our sources, the movie’s plot revolves around a daring guy who falls for a lovely girl. The film is positioned to be in the romantic comedy genre.

By the way, these days Gippy is shooting for Manje Bistre 2 in Canada and according to sources, this time the lead actress in the film will be Simi Chahal instead of Sonam Bajwa. Another film of his called, Mar Gaye Oye Loko, is set to release on August 31 this year itself.

Having rolled out a blockbuster already – Carry On Jatta 2, which turned out to be the highest ever Punjabi grosser worldwide – A&A advisors are now looking ahead with a brand new fiim this July.

The film is called, Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan and is releasing on 13th July. Check out its First Look here:

The film is presented by A&A Advisors in association with Naughty Men Productions. The first look clearly suggests that it’s going to be a full-on comedy watchable with entire family of course.

 The leading lady is going to be Kavita Kaushik (fame FIR) who also starred opposite Binnu Dhillon in the blockbuster, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, last month!

Yes, yes …. it’s confirmed now! One of the best comedies of Punjabi cinema, Mr and Mrs 420 that released in 2014 will have its sequel now and is releasing in just two months. 

The writer of the film Naresh Kathooria confirmed it on his Facebook profile and announced that the Mr and Mrs 420’s second installment will hit the theatres on 15th August. The film is directed by Kshhitij Chaudhary, who has also given hits like Vekh Baraatan Challiyaan and this year – Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua. 

Mr and Mrs 420 had starred Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Jassi Gill, Yuvraj Hans and Babbal Rai, among many others. Reportedly, the sequel will also see Ranjit Bawa joining the gang! We hope to have the same fun again! Are you excited too?

The title of Nimrat Khaira’s second film as an actor and first film as the leading lady in Punjabi cinema, has been revealed.

The film is called ‘Afsar’ and will see her opposite Tarsem Jassar – popular Punjabi singer and actor.

The shooting of the movie is going on in Patiala and the movie Afsar along with the entertainment will also be inspired from real life problems. Inspite of Tarsem Jassar, Nimrat Khaira, Nirmal Rishi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Vijay Tandon and other famous actors will be seen. The film will be directed by Gulshan and as a director it will be first film of Gulshan.

Where as Tarsem Jassar has already make way with the movie like Rabb Da Radio and Sardar Mohammad, on the other side audience is all excited to watch Nimrat Khaira in the lead role as well as she was appreciated for her role in movie Lahoriye. Punjabi movie Afsar under the banner of Nadar Films will be releasing on 5 september.

Jimmy Shergill who has been a ‘jaan’ of successful Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series shall soon be seen in its third installment and this time, the gangster will be none other than SANJU – his Munna Bhai MBBS co-star!

Elated to work with Sanjay in Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, Jimmy asserts that the film will be bigger and better.

“The gangster keeps changing, so the idea of the series is saheb and biwi remain the same, but the gangster keeps changing. This time it’s Sanjay Dutt. So who better than Sanjay to play the gangster,” said Jimmy in a recent interview. 

He further added, “This is my fourth film with Sanjay. We had great fun in Rajasthan talking about old stories. He talks to me in Punjabi.”

Meanwhile, the talks are already going on regarding Jimmy Sheirgill’s entry on the small screen as the host of the famous ‘Savdhaan India’ series. However, the actor has not confirmed about the development as yet.

Indian Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Rathore had launched a unique Fitness challenge earlier this week, wherein he challenged Virat Kohli as well to post his fitness routine.

Virat Kohli further challenged his wife, Anushka Sharma and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the same, who gladly accepted it.

Now the challenge has reached our very own Punjabi icon, Ammy Virk (thrown at him by Rathore himself!), who took to Twitter to post a video of himself in the gym taking the # #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge. He further nominated Cricketer Mandeep Singh, Coach Sapna Vyas (Weightlifter) and Yuzvendra Chahal, a cricketer.
