‘Bhajjo Veero Ve’ First Impression (Not A Review) : A film that has ‘Script’ as its HERO!

Rhythm Boyz Entertainment and Hayre Omjee Studios has presented a film that made history before its release itself. Bhajjo Veero Ve which is perhaps one of the first films in Punjab which got released on a Saturday has stood out above most films released this year for the sheer brilliance of its script, tight screenplay, impeccable direction and amazing actors that knew what they were supposed to do!

Bhajjo Veero Ve which is perhaps one of the first films in Punjab which got released on a Saturday has stood out above most films released this year for the sheer brilliance of its script, tight screenplay, impeccable direction and amazing actors that knew what they were supposed to do!

First thing first : The film besides being the first film on Bachelors of Punjab also shines because of the fact that despite not having the default “set of comedians” among its starcast ends up being a blockbusting comedy simply because its written in a very powerful way. Full points to Amberdeep for coming up with an ‘out-of-the-box’ idea and weaving it so perfectly within a two-hour film. Equal amount of gratitude to the producers for bankrolling a novel idea and presenting it before the audience without having any ‘star’ as a hero. Well, with a reasonably good actor like Amberdeep in the lead and such a stupendous storyline, there wasn’t a need of star in a movie anyways.

That being said, Amberdeep seems to have found his own niche in Punjabi cinema now. He is your hero who who isn’t a star, but an actor. In fact, it’s not just Amberdeep but every actor in the film fits in their character like hand in a glove. The best part is that the heroine – Simi Chahal – also manages to find her strong foothold in a clearly male-dominated film. She isn’t there to just add to the glamour factor! Her role is pivotal to move the story forward and the chirpy actress amuses the audience with her cute expressions and dialogues.

However, the surprise package comes in the form of Guggu Gill – who you’d see in his old-avatar after a long time. Daunting, dignified, so very imposing, Guggu Gill, who turns out to be a bandit ‘Mama’ of our hero, steals the show with not just his physical persona but also leaves a strong impression otherwise.

Overall, Bhajjo Veero Ve is a film that proves that script is the actual hero of the film! A totally ‘hatke’ film, such films should be made more often and encouraged. A Complete family entertainer with wonderful music, it’s a must-watch!

Well, though it was just a cartoon picture, Kathooria made his point clear in his own hilarious style that he (Naresh Kathooria Films), Ksshitij Chaudhary Films and Frriday Rushh Motion Pictures are working on a film concept that’s going to show how the world of a couple changes when the husband (followed by taunts by his wife) decides to become pregnant and deliver a baby!!! Although according to Naresh Kathooria, this untitled film is actually going to be a comedy flick but NOT without a message. He says, “Ultimately the husband (hero) realises as to how much pain a woman has to endure to give birth to a new life. But all this happens merrily.”

At a time when Punjabi cinema is on an upswing and not many filmmakers thinking past usual subjects eg. wedding-themed comedies, it’s nice to learn that someone is thinking in a completley new direction and coming up with an innovative subject! We wish the team great luck for the same.

‘Sorry Sorry’ – Hobby Dhaliwal’s Dialogue In Bhajjo Veero Ve Is The New Talk Of The Town

When almost every filmmaker in Punjab is busy making a film on a wedding theme, there are thankfully, some producers who thought of making a film on ‘shadaas’ (bachelors) too! Well these producers are none other than Karaj Gill (Rhythm Boyz Entertainment) and Talwinder Hayre (Hayre Omjee Studios) who are coming up with a film titled ‘Bhajjo Veero Ve’ on 14th of December.

Written and directed by ace script writer Amberdeep, Bhajjo Veero Ve’s trailer went viral as soon as it was released last month. Though the trailer provides several one-liners that can send one in splits yet one-liner that has stood out is by Hobby Dhaliwal who plays the role of Simi Chahal’s (the leading lady of the film) father. That dialogue is nothing but just two words – ‘Sorry Sorry’ which you can hear between 72 seconds and 90 seconds in the trailer.

Saak (2019): Mandy Takhar To Play Another Strong Character

Mandy Takhar and Joban Preet will be seen together as the lead pair of an upcoming Punjabi film titled SAAK.

Slated to get released on June 7, 2019 the first look of the movie was shared a few days ago by Mandy Takhar on the social media. The shoot of the film has already been started in Abohar, Punjab. At the Mahurat shot, the leading lady said, “I always try to do the characters in which I can push my limits and show versatility as an actor. When, I was offered this film I could not resist even once. My character is very strong and I am looking forward to playing this on screen. I just hope people will love this film in the same way as they always have loved my work.”

Apart from Mandy and Joban, Mukul Dev, Rupinder Rupi, Mahabir Bhullar, Dilawar Sidhu, Sonpreet Jawanda, Deep Brar will also be seen playing pivotal roles. Kamaljeet Singh has written the story and will direct this film. Jatinder Jay Minhas and Rupinder Minhas will produce the whole project. This film is the presentation of Minhas Films Ltd in association with Minhas Lawyers LLP, Jatinder Jay Minhas and Rupinder Minhas.

Beautiful Apeksha Porwal closed the show for  designer Nida Mahmood and Charming Shradha shashidhar turned showstopper for reena dhaka’s .collection that presented beautiful line floral and peachy, Trends for spring 2019 season were unveiled and feel of Goa could clearly be felt from innovative and versatile looks. Bohemian element and stress free looks that were perfect for brunch mornings and evenings remained chic yet casual. Overall the elaborate looks spread burst of colours and hues. Upcoming trends for 2019 were revealed by Reena Dhaka and Richa Aggarwal. 
 
Successfully concluded fashion week also highlighted beautiful silhouettes of exquisite designs by ace fashion designers like Nida Mahmood and designer Sakshi Bindra. 
Along side showcasing was also done by high end brands like Promod, Aldo, Charles & Keith , Steve Madden and Cleopatra from Chandigarh presented most glamorous looks that were in line with leisurewear fashion and bohemian spirit for forthcoming season.

The show was dedicated to inventiveness as stunning models transformed by ace makeover experts Richa Aggarwal and Harveen Kathuria. Everyone was enthralled witnessing most trendsetting looks and they got a taste of a heady & free spirited looks and   fashion trends. 
On the occasion ace Fashion Designer Reena Dhaka while praising the looks From Cleopatra stated, I presented my spring collection for 2019 that was in line with beach and Goan feel and I was pleasantly happy seeing team Cleopatra and Richa Aggarwal adding charm and bohemian streak with colourful makeovers and hair do’s, I am very impressed with the way they applied their finesse to the entire look of models and my designs. 
 
On the occasion Richa Aggarwal, Makeover partner from Cleopatra stated, I am very happy to participate in the show and do makeovers for fashion shows of multiple designers and high end brands, we tried to create looks in sync with brands aspirations for forthcoming season, this was challenging to bring out different looks on one common platform but I am glad that we did this successfully. And I am happy to have received overwhelming response for the fashion week. 

Binnu Dhillon Is On A Roll – Announces His Next ‘Kudiye Lahore Diye’ With Jatinder Shah

Binnu Dhillon, who slowly and steadily and with a lot of hard work, has finally found his way to the top, is now coming up with a next film titled ‘Kudiye Lahore Diye’. The film is being bankrolled by famous music director and producer Jatinder Shah along with Pooja Gujral under his banner Shah and Shah Pictures.

The shoot of Kudiye Lahore Diye is currently taking place in different locations of England. In fact, it was during the shoot of this film only that Binnu Dhillon suffered from a nose injury while enacting a scene in which a planter was thrown at him. 

Being directed by Smeep Kang, the leading lady of the film is going to be Mandy Takhar. The film will also star actors like Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Nirmal Rishi and many more.

Banjara: Babbu Mann’s Coming Of Age Story To Release On 7th December

Last seen in Baaz (2014) as a police inspector, Babbu Mann is making a comeback as an actor in Punjabi cinema with a film titled – Banjara – The Truck Driver’. In this film, the singer-actor, not just single or double but in a triple role.

From the trailer it’s clear that the film is a romantic drama with its story traveling through different eras – 1947, 1984 and 2018. What’s shown is that romance changes with time, even the clothes, manners, looks and etiquettes of actors but what remains the same is Babbu Mann – The Truck driver.  

Directed by Mushtaq Pasha, the movie will be hitting the theatres on 7th December.

As far as Babbu Mann’s role is concerned, he will be playing the son, the grandson and the grandfather in his triple role! However, the film will not see Babbu ageing, as he will play the pota, beta and dada’s roles in the young avatar of their respective times. The film will highlight eras of 1947, 1984 and 2018 showing love interests of three generations in their younger days.

The film is also a comeback project of Babbu, last seen in Baaz in 2014. Reportedly, Babbu Mann had to undergo several rounds of makeup, for hours, to prepare for the sequence. Babbu’s screen names in the film are Harnek Singh (1947), Nachhatar Singh (1984) and Binder Singh (2018). Others in the star cast include, Rana Ranbir, Malkit Rauni, Prakash Yadu, Gurpreet Bhangu, Shraddha Arya, Jia Mustafa and Sara Khatri.

Kapil Sharma Pays A Visit To Buddy Roshan Prince For Special Wedding Invitation

As the wedding date gets close, Kapil Sharma is visiting his near and dear ones to invite them to his wedding. Recently, he visited Punjabi singer-actor Roshan Prince and his family.

Along with Vikram Grover and Rajiv Thakur, he went to his old time buddy Roshan Prince’s house and even met his parents there. Roshan Prince couldn’t obviously contain his emotions at this warm gesture by Kapil and took it to his social media to thank him by posting 8 pictures.

On the work front, Roshan Prince has kick started the shoot of ‘Laddu Barfi’. It is the second production venture of director Simerjit Singh. Directed by Avtar Singh, the movie features Ronica Gandhi as the female lead. The film is scheduled to hit the box office in 2019.

Good News: Diljit Dosanjh Begins Shoot For His Next Bollywood Flick

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Bollywood film GOOD NEWS’ shoot has commenced today. In this film he shall be seen starring opposite Kiara Advani. Film’s other star cast Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan woulb be joining them later.

Kiara tweeted a video of herself along with Diljit holding the film’s clapboard. She captioned it as: “Have you heard the news today? Chill… It’s all ‘Good News’! Raj Mehta, Diljit Dosanjh and I are Missing you Akshay Kumar sir, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar (and) Shashank Khaitan see you all soon!”

Diljit too shared the same video and wrote: “It’s a Dream Come True When you get to Work with Your Favourite Productions House and an Awesome TEAM.”

We have no update yet as to when this film shall get released. Diljit Dosanjh shall also be seen in a Punjabi film next year titled ‘Shadaa’ along with Neeru Bajwa.
