The shoot of Chal Mera Putt’s sequel (Chal Mera Putt 2), a Punjabi movie starring Pakistani actors, Nasir Chinyoti, Akram Udas and Ifthikar Thakur and Indian actors like Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal has started in the United Kingdom today. 

The film’s female lead took to her Instagram to share the pictures and video of the entire starcast of the team doing a prayer with her followers.

Neeru Bajwa’s younger sister, Rubina Bajwa is gearing up for her upcoming Punjabi movie, ‘Gidhar Singhi’ which is scheduled to release on November 22.

The official poster of the movie features Rubina Bajwa and Jordan Sandhu. While Rubina is seen donning the classic Punjabi girl avtar, Sandhu has been spotted holding a carrot as a microphone.

The duo will be seen sharing the silver screen for the first time. Besides them, the movie will also star Karan Mehta, Saanvi Dhiman and Ravinder Grewal.

Gidhar Singhi has been directed by Vipin Prashar and produced by Abhishek Tyagi. The movie will also mark the debut of Karan Mehta in the Punjabi film industry.

Jassie Gill, who is these days prepping up for his Bollywood movie with Kangana Ranaut, ‘Panga’, shared an adorable picture with his little munchkin on his social media accounts. In the photograph, Roojas is dressed in a cute white dress while Jassie is wearing an ethnic attire.

While sharing the picture, the singer-actor wrote, “Main te meri Rooh ❤️ #RoojasKaurGill”.

Meanwhile, besides his Bollywood movie, Jassie Gill also has a Punjabi movie in his kitty –  ‘Daddy Cool Munday Fool 2’, Jassie will be seen with Tania, Ranjit Bawa, Aarushi Sharma and Jaswinder Bhalla.

Directed by Sukhbir Singh Sahota, new Punjabi movie starring Singga and Sansar Sandhu will release on July 31, 2020. 

Fast rising popular singer Singga (Beer fame), has signed yet another film after signing his debut Punjabi movie, ‘Jora – The Second Number’. His next film is will Sansar Sandhu and is given a very interesting name: Dhara 420/302.

From the name itself, one can easily guess that Dhara 420/302 starring Singga is going to be an action film as these particular sections in IPC stand for theft and murder both. 

Dhara 420/302 release date: July 31, 2020.

Munda Faridkotia actor will soon be seen in films like Ikk Sandhu Hunda Si, Nanka Mel, Beautiful Billo and Booh Main Dargi. 

These days Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor are busy for the former’s production venture – Laal Singh Chadha, which is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ Oscar award winning film, ‘Forrest Gump’. 

The shooting is currently going on in Chandigarh. Rana Ranbir has penned the dialogues of this film.

Great update coming in for Wamiqa Gabbi and Tarsem Jassar fans now! The release date of their film together – Galwakdi – has been announced. This movie will hit the theatres early next year i.e. April 3, 2020.

‘Galwakdi’ is presented under Vehli Janta Films and Omjee Star Studios in association with Sarin Productions UK. The film is helmed by ‘Rab Da Radio 2’ fame director, Sharan Art.

Tarsem Jassar took down to his official Instagram handle to announce the release date of his upcoming film. He wrote: “Next Movie Releasing 3rd April 2020 … Malak chardi kla kre … #tarsemjassar #wamiqagabbi #wmk”.

Galwakdi will not be for the first time that Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi will be starring together. In fact Wamiqa Gabbi has acted with Tarsem Jassar before – not as a lead – but in a guest appearance in 2019’s Rabb Da Radio 2 – the sequel of Tarsem Jassar’s debut Pollywood movie Rabb Da Radio that was hugely successful on Box-office in 2017. 

As far as Tarsem Jassar’s film career is concerned, the actor has come a long way since his first movie Rabb Da Radio. His next movie which released in the same year i.e. 2017 was Sardar Mohammad which received a great response both critically and commercially. 

After Sardar Mohammad, Tarsem Jassar acted in another Punjabi movie called ‘Afsar’, which unfortunately tanked at the box-office and was a huge flop. But his next movie, Uda Aida, which released in February 2019 was a super-hit and widely acclaimed critically as well. 

Wamiqa Gabbi has also bagged quite a lot of films this year. From Nadhoo Khan to Doorbeen and now Galwakdi – Gabbi’s hands are full with a number of Punjabi movies. Besides Pollywood, Gabbi has bagged a big Hindi movie project as well. She will be acting opposite Ammy Virk in Ranvir Singh’s upcoming Bollywood movie on 1983 Cricket World Cup which India won. 

The movie is called 83, releasing in April 2020. It’s directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Harrdy Sandhu – another Punjabi singer/actor in it.

Humble Motion Pictures is going great guns with so many releases and upcoming film announcements. While the leading production house in Punjab is still riding high on the success of films like Ardaas Karaan and Daaka, and the shoot of Posti and Ikk Sandhu Hunda Si has already begun, the makers have announced a new project named – ‘Men In Black’ starring Ranjit Bawa. 

While Gippy Grewal will produce the film, Ranjit Bawa will be the man in the lead. Gippy Grewal shared the first look of desi Men In Black today on Instagram with a interesting caption:  “Verified
