LAATU: Upcoming Punjabi Movie Depicting Life Of An Era When Electricity Was A Luxury

Aditi Sharma, who has done two movies already this year – Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua and Subedar Joginder Singh followed by a cameo in Nankana, is now ready with her next titled LAATU along with singer-turned-actor Gagan Kokri, who’s making his Punjabi film debut with this one.

While the poster was out in August itself, the stellar team of LAATU has now begun its promotions. Touted to be a period-drama, the film is reportedly aimed at showcasing the life of 1960s in India when electricity was still a luxury for Punjabi villagers and how with having it was considered as a ‘status symbol’ those days. 

This movie is a story of a boy who wants to get his home electrified to improve his status symbol and fulfill the pre-requisite of the Matrimonial alliance of those days!

LAATU is directed by Manav Shah and written by Dheeraj Rattan. Jagmeet Grewal and Vikas Wadhwa are producing the movie. It is a FARID Entertainment presentation in association with New Era Movies, Raja Dhaba (Khmanon) and Danford College (Australia).
