It’s A Wrap For Neeru Bajwa’s Munda Hi Chahida

Earlier in February, almost a week after her Uda Aida’s release, Punjabi actor/director and producer – Neeru Bajwa announced her next home production – Munda Hi Chahida.

Now the ‘queen of Punjabi cinema’ has announced the completion of the same through an Instagram post. This Harish Verma and Rubina Bajwa starrer is directed by Deepak Thapar and Santosh Thite. 

Neeru shared a picture of the whole crew of ‘Munda Hi Chahida’ with a thankyou note in the caption. Neeru captioned the picture as: “With Baba Ji’s blessings we have completed our home production #MundaHiChahida… sareya da thanvaad for putting your heart and soul into this film.”

Manje Bistre 2: The Trailer Is Coming On 16th March (Saturday)

Yesterday the 2nd track of ‘Manje Bistre 2’ was trending on Youtube. The song called “Current” is a duet dance number with vocals from Gippy Grewal and Sudesh Kumari. Now another news has come from the team of Manje Bistre 2 – the trailer of the film will release on Saturday, the 16th March.

Gippy Grewal took to his social media handle to announce the same with a still from the movie. 

Releasing this Baisakhi on April 12, ‘Manje Bistre 2’ is one of the most awaited sequels this year. Manje Bistre made history in 2017 being the highest ever opener and not to forget, that it was this Humble Motion Pictures’ film that set the trend of “wedding” comedies in Punjabi cinema.

While Manje Bistre original had Sonam Bajwa in the lead along with Gippy, the second installment shall feature Simi Chahal romancing our desi rockstar on screen.

This romantic drama has been directed by Baljit Singh Deo. Besides playing the lead, Gippy Grewal has also written the story and presenting the same under his banner.

YAARA VE Trailer Review: Friendship That Sees ‘No Border’

 Releasing on April 5, the trailer of Rakesh Mehta’s ‘Yaara Ve’ has got released today. A film that pays a tribute to the undying bond of friendship between three friends, Yaara Ve stars actors like Gagan Kokri, Monica Gill, Yuvraj Hans and Raghveer Boli in the lead.

First thing first. In the beginning of Yaara Ve’s trailer, it has been stated (voice over of Gurdas Maan) that the film is not about India and Pakistan but about those buddies who saw no border when it came to their friendship.

Set in the backdrop of pre-Independent India, Primarily, Yaara Ve’s trailer tells the story of 3 friends Buta, Kishan and Nizamat. The trailer begins on a light mode with a good mix of both comedy, family drama and romance. However, things soon change drastically with the announcement of India-Pakistan partition. As far as the costumes and looks of the starcast are concerned, all look apt according to the time period shown. 

Yaara Ve’s trailer hasn’t revealed much about the story of the film as yet and it doesn’t perhaps deliberatley focus on the partition part either. We hope that this trailer shall build curiosity among the audience for watching this film in the theatre. We certainly are all eager to watch this one. 

Besides the main starcast, the movie also stars legends like Yograj Singh, B N Sharma, Sardar Sohi, Nirmal Rishi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Gurpreet Bhangu, Malkeet Rauni, Pali Sandhu and Rana Jung Bahadur in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Bally Kakar.

Recently, the news was shared by team ‘Guddiyan Patole’ on their social media. Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Guddiyan Patole is a story about a grandmother and her NRI granddaughters. 

The film received massive response from the public and garnered great critical reviews as well. Sonam Bajwa was especially, appreciated for her acting, costumes and dialogue delivery.

It has been in public knowledge for some time that Parmish Verma and Wamiqa Gabbi are coming up with a romcom together this year. But the release date was still kept under the wraps by the makers. In fact, a few weeks ago the news was doing the round that Dil Diyan Gallan might release on May 10.

‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ has been written and directed by Parmish Verma and Uday Pratap Singh. Further, Dinesh Auluck, Ruby and Sandeep Bansal have produced the project along with Ashu Munish Sahni, Ashish Aggarwal, Chirag Chopra and Gurprit Singh Mahal.

Smeep Kang, touted in Punjabi cinema as the king of ‘comedy’ is back with another laughter riot with none other than Binnu Dhillon in the lead! The film is titled ‘Band Vaaje’ and is all set to release on 15th of March. This is the first time that Binnu Dhillon will be working along with Mandy Takhar as her ‘hero’.

It is said that Band Vaaje is another comic caper but the premise of this film is different than most Punjabi comedies. It’s a story about a guy who falls in love with a Pakistani Punjabi girl and how he has to convince her and his own family to get married to her! In spite of it being a sensitive issue, the makers of the film say that they’ve handled the subject in a light hearted manner.

Speaking about Band Vaaje with us, the captain of the ship, Smeep Kang said, “It’s true that Band Vaaje is another comic caper but the premise of this film is total different than what you’ve seen before in my films. We’ve picked a unique subject which is treated in a light-hearted manner in spite of it being a sensitive issue. With the female character of the film, being a Pakistani Punjabi, the story has a lot to offer than just regular slapstick comedy.”

Presented by 5 River Production & Karan Buttar in association with Aman Hayer Productions, ‘Parauneya Nu Dafa Karo’ is directed by Simerjit Singh. Produced by Karan Buttar, the movie is written by Rakesh Dhawan.

The shoot of ‘Article 15’ has started in Lucknow and the film (besides Ayushmann) stars Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.  Another movie of Ayushmann ‘Dream Girl’ shall release on September 13.
