[h4]Singer-turned-actor Rajvir Jawanda and Sara Sharma are all set to grace the silver screen this Friday (14th June) with the release of modern age Punjabi romantic comedy movie, Jind Jaan. [/h4]

The first-of-its-kind romantic comedy movie, Jind Jaan is all set to release worldwide on June 14, 2019. Written and directed by Darshan Bagga, the movie traces a modern age love story of a boy and a girl.

Providing an insider’s view into his role in the movie, lead actor Rajvir Jawanda shared with Iampunjaabi.com, “I am playing the role of a boy who sings very well and goes abroad from Punjab for a job. There he gets a job to teach music to a wealthy girl in a foreign country. That’s where the love story begins.”

Extremely excited to step into the Punjabi film industry in the lead role, Rajvir Jawanda also added, “I have already acted in Simarjeet Singh’s film ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’, but ‘Jind Jaan’ is my first film as a lead role. Acting has always been a dream for me and I am lucky that singing helped me chase this dream.”

He will be seen acting parallel to a renowned face in the South Indian film industry, Sara Sharmaa who will make a debut in the Punjabi film industry with Jind Jaan. The adorable duo of the two is already being loved by the Punjabi audiences across the globe for their sizzling chemistry which is evident in the trailer and the music tracks of the movie.

Produced by Karan Aggarwal and Pawan Aggarwal under the banner of BRS Films, the movie also stars Jaswinder Bhalla, Harby Sangha, Gaurav Kakkar, Swatantra Bharat, and Upasana Singh in pivotal roles. The film will be distributed worldwide by Omjee Group.

From making films about “life after death”, starting the trend of wedding dramas, to making films on subjects like bank robberies and our flawed social system, Gippy Grewal has always taken challenges, whether as an actor, director or producer.

In 2016, Gippy Grewal surprised everyone with his debut film as a director – Ardaas, which became a runaway hit. The film explored themes of spirituality and held values of social significance.  Now to promote its sequel titled, Ardaas Karan, Gippy Grewal has decided to do something out of the box and instead of a trailer, he’s going to release several “chapters” telling the story of every character.

Punjabi film industry is seen to be surpassing benchmarks with each passing day and upcoming Punjabi movie, Jind Jaan is all set to contribute to the same indispensably. Jind Jaan traces a modern age love story set-up in Thailand which comes across insurmountable challenges by a villain and a dangerous don.

Providing a sneak-peak into the same, one of the Producers of the movie Karan Aggarwal shared, “Jind Jaan is a complete family package movie and it has something in store for everyone alike. It has the romantic element by singer-turned-actor Rajvir Jawanda and Sara Sharmaa, it has action scenes by Mohan Baggad, great dance performances by Mehul and Shabnam, negative drama by Gaurav Kakkar, and comedy scenes by Jaswinder Bhalla, Upasana Singh, Harby Sangha and Swatantra Bharat to tickle the funny bone. It also has special guest appearances including that of Guggu Gill.”

With an estimated budget of 8 Crores, the movie stands at par with the Bollywood standards in terms of production finesse. While highlighting the same Karan said, “For one scene, we shot in -20 degrees temperature in Georgia wherein the actress was wearing just a saree and the actor was wearing just a t-shirt in the chilling cold. It has been captured aesthetically and the credit goes to our Director of Photography and other technical crew who made it possible. It took a lot of hard work to create that flamboyancy.”

Written and Directed by Darshan Bagga, Jind Jaan’s screenplay is by Rajiv Kaul, while the dialogues are penned by Deedar Singh and Mintu. It is all set to hit the silver screen on June 14th with worldwide distribution by Omjee Group.

The film is releasing on 14th June and directed by Mandeep Singh Chahal while produced by Dalmora Films and Monty Sikka. [/h4]

A great launching pad for Indian TV actress Sharan Kaur in Punjabi film industry, Sharan Kaur will be seen playing the role of a girl named Maryiam in Munda Faridkotia. In an exclusive interview with Iampunjaabi.com, the actress revealed, “It is a very different kind of character wherein the girl is very jovial, sincere, emotional and yet very respectful towards her elders.”

During the interview Sharan also told us that to make her character convincing, she especially learnt the Pothwari dialect. 

[h4]I also had to make some transformations such as gaining weight and getting my nose pierced to fit the role aptly.[/h4]

“I took a small workshop under the proficient guidance of Mr Parveen Kumar to learn the Pothwari dialect which plays a crucial role in the movie. I also had to make some transformations such as gaining weight and getting my nose pierced to fit the role aptly. I took all the transformations in high zeal and verve and enjoyed every part of it,” she further added.

“Venturing into the Punjabi film industry from television has been a beautiful learning experience and I am really excited for Munda Faridkotia to hit the silver screen!” Kaur concluded.

Slated to release worldwide on June 14th, Munda Faridkotia is written by Deep Jagdeep Jaedy, Anjali Khurana and Ravinder Mand. It also stars Karamjit Anmol, Hobby Dhaliwal, Rose J Kaur, Rupinder Rupi, and BN Sharma in pivotal roles.
