Farmers’ protests against the three new agricultural ordinances passed by the Indian government recently have reached a new level now. Apart from the protests at local level, now the farmers are demanding a complete India shutdown a.k.a ‘Bharat Band’ which is being supported by even Punjabi actors like Binnu Dhillon, Rana Ranbir and Sidhu Moose Wala.
According to reports, the farmers have called for India Bandh on September 25.
In a video shared on social media, the Kala Shah Kala actor Binnu Dhillon, says that it’s now high time that all of us should lay down our individual political differences and ego and support the farmers whole-heartedly
He even said that since he belongs to the farmer family himself, he himself, is against the new agriculture ordinance.
He said that we must all join farmers in this crucial time and support the ‘Bharat Band’ movement on September 25.

Meanwhile, Punjabi writer/actor Rana Ranbir has also posted a video on his social media accounts regarding the ongoing farmers’ protest. Taking a neutral stand, Rana Ranbir said that while he does support farmers’ protests if they’re unconvinced with the new legislation.
However, he also said that if the government thinks that the new ordinances will help the Indian farmers greatly then the government must take proper measures to create awareness about those benefits to farmers.
While everyone is supporting the farmers in their protest, Rana Ranbir has shared a video, wherein he asked everyone to show their support in the right direction.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Indian Government has recently passed three new legislations for providing a barrier-free trade-mode for farmers produce outside notified grain markets. With these ordinances, farmers can have a farming agreement with private players before the production.
However, the farmers are not in favour of the ordinances, as they believe it will phase out the MSP and the traditional grain market system.
