Those who’d been a little disappointed by the fact that Sharry Mann and Payal Rajput starrer – Marriage Palace’s release had got postponed, have now enough served on their platter to get rejoiced upon.

The makers of Marriage Palace have promised to roll out fresh updates about the movie very often on social media now and they began the spree with the FIRST Official Poster of Marriage Palace, which was released with all pomp and show today.

With the release of ‘Marriage Palace’ on November 23, Punjabi cinema shall witness another wedding-themed comedy. Starring Sharry Mann and Payal Rajput ,the trailer of the same will be released on 1st November.

Along with Sharry Mann and Payal Rajput, the movie stars Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma, Harby Sangha, Anita Devgn, Nirmal Rishi, Rupinder Rupi, Nisha Bano, Simran Sehajpal, Ekta Gulati Khera, Sumit Gulati, Ashok Pathak and Umang Sharma. The movie has been written by Sunil Thakur and helmed by Rakesh Dhawan. 

The much-awaited trailer of singer-turned-actor Gagan Kokri’s debut Punjabi movie LAATU is out and as expected, it is fun and ‘electrifying’! 

Based on a unique theme of how during the 1960s, people in Punjab’s villages regarded having or not having “electricity” as a measure of someone’s social status, and how even matrimonial alliances were based on this famous Benjamin Franklin’s invention, LAATU shall release on 16th November 2018. 

Produced by FARID Entertainment and New Era Movies, Laatu is directed by Manav Shah and besides Gagan Kokri it stars actors like Aditi Sharma (playing the female lead), Karamjit Anmol and Sardaar Sohi.

REVIEW OF LAATU TRAILER: Earlier it was assumed that the person who has a bigger mustache is the one who’s capable enough to be someone’s groom – rather “son-in-law”. However, in the trailer, we’re shown that how this tradition is rendered meaningless by a village folk who demands a groom with a “Laatu” in his house. Shaken by this humiliation, Gagan Kokri’s character does his level best to get electricity in his own village. To help him is his friend Karamjit Anmol, who expectedly, adds enough doses of laughter in the trailer. 

The best part about the trailer is that it has managed not to reveal the entire story of the film. Leaving the viewer with a certain degree of suspense, the trailer of Laatu is balanced well – showing both the entertaining and intense side of the film alongside. Aditi Sharma looks lovely in rustic Punjabi look while Gagan Kokri looks apt in a Punjabi villager’s look. The rest of the cast, especially Rahul Jungral (the man playing the role of a corrupt electricity officer) is first-rate while Sardar Sohi and other veterans are their usual best. 

Looking at the trailer, LAATU certainly has all the elements to fetch a viewer to the cinema hall. We have to wait and see now how well it turns out in reality.

It is a satirical take on a battle against government & its employees who are unwilling to work for the betterment & welfare of society. From the panchayat to the employees in electricity department are all reluctant to work for the revolution in the village by sticking to the superstitions of the villagers…

‘Mill Lo Na’ fame singer Guri is all set to dabble into acting. His debut venture is titled as Sikander 2 and its title poster has also been released.

For those who remember, Sikander 2 is the sequel of 2013’s Kartar Cheema and Gul Panag starrer Sikander, which received great critic reviews at the time of its release. Now along with Kartar Cheema, singer Guri will be seen trying his hands at acting too.  

The film will be directed by Manav Shah, who’s also coming up with a film called LAATU on 16th November.

Aditi Sharma, who has done two movies already this year – Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua and Subedar Joginder Singh followed by a cameo in Nankana, is now ready with her next titled LAATU along with singer-turned-actor Gagan Kokri, who’s making his Punjabi film debut with this one.

While the poster was out in August itself, the stellar team of LAATU has now begun its promotions. Touted to be a period-drama, the film is reportedly aimed at showcasing the life of 1960s in India when electricity was still a luxury for Punjabi villagers and how with having it was considered as a ‘status symbol’ those days. 

This movie is a story of a boy who wants to get his home electrified to improve his status symbol and fulfill the pre-requisite of the Matrimonial alliance of those days!

While Jordan Sandhu released the title poster of his upcoming Punjabi movie – KAAKE DA VIYAH – in the last week of July itself, today he released the film’s first look. 

Though February is usually considered to be the month of ‘love’ with Valentine’s Day falling in just the middle of it, yet Punjabi film industry is flooding this month with its wedding-themed releases. 

Only a few days ago, Binnu Dhillon announced the release of another wedding-based comedy, BAND WAAJE, which is releasing on 14th Feb, now Jordan Sandhu’s movie also releases in February – 1st February, to be precise!

Taara Meera film is presented by Rajiev Dhingra in association with Tadu films, a Red Eyes Film. The Director of Photography is Shanti Bhushan Roy. The film also stars famous comedian and actor Rajiv Thakur.

Roshan Prince and Rubina Bajwa made an interesting combo in ‘Laavan Phere’ earlier this year. Now this lovely duo is back with another film titled ‘Nanka Mel’ – the new poster of which was shared recently.
