The wait is finally over for Muklawa is all set to hit the silver screen. Here’s what makes us even more excited about its release!
1. Adorable chemistry of Sonam Bajwa & Ammy Virk: One of the most-loved duo of Ballewood, Sonam Bajwa & Ammy Virk who were earlier seen in movies like Nikka Zaildar and Nikka Zaildar 2, will now be seen as Shinda and Taaro, a couple who departs due to ‘Muklawa’. More than co-actors, the duo have admitted to be close friends with each other which made the on-screen chemistry appear to be even more adorable.

“It was very easy working with Ammy since we have worked together earlier and he is a friend also. We have a really nice tuning owing to which we had a very cordial environment on the set,” shared Sonam.

“I had a really good experience working with Sonam and since we’ve been friends since a long time, it was even easier,” Ammy further added

2. An Epitome of Art: The strongest pillar of any movie lies in the artistic element that it holds and while speaking to the Producer of the movie, Manmord Sidhu, we figured out that Muklawa has been shot with an artistic eye. “Whenever there is a period film, art plays an indispensable role in it. However, creating that bygone era is not really as easy as it seems and it demands the investment of a lot of time and resources. So, we travelled to Ganganagar where a majority part of the shoot was done. It was an amazing experience and the final product has come out to be great,” shared Manmord Sidhu.

3. Sneak-Peak into the bygone days in a Punjab’s Pind: It is an undeniable fact that there’s so much to our ‘pind’ that we are missing out on, drowning in the hustle-bustle of rapid urbanization. Staying true to one such ritual of Punjabi culture, ‘Muklawa’ provides a sneak-peak into the wedding customs which were followed in Punjab. It narrates the story of a tradition which dictated that a newlywed woman should stay back at her parents` house for a while after her wedding. While shooting for the movie, the lead actress Sonam Bajwa admitted that she reminisces the days when she lived in her pind. “I hail my roots from the traditional Punjab and I know how different life is there. Even while shooting for the movie, we received a lot of love by the people who lived there and got the opportunity to eat those delectable delicacies of dal & roti regularly,” she said with a wide smile on her face.
