Punjabi celebs show oneness in expressing their sorrow at Amritsar Train Tragedy

by Monita Sharma

Dusshehra – the festival preceding the biggest festival of lights in India – Diwali, turned out to be the blackest day in the history of Punjab yesterday with two trains ruthlessly mowing down innocent people watching the Ravana effigy burning at Joda Phatak area of Choura Bazar.

While we are not sure whom to blame really for this tragedy, all we can say is that this is the moment to stay united and help as much as possible through whatever means we can. Even our Punjabi film fraternity is not left behind urging people to donate blood, providing helpline numbers and most importantly, offering condolences to the families of deceased.

Here we list down the reactions of prominent personalities of Punjabi cinema when they learnt about this tragedy.
