Punjab Floods: Gippy Grewal donates Rs 3 Lakh More, Tarsem Jassar Reaches Ground Zero

Yesterday Khalsa Aid had announced that Gippy Grewal personally called their team members to donate an amount of Rs 7 lakh to Punjab flood victims, now according to Khalsa Aid, an additional sum of Rs 3 lakh has also been donated by the Ardaas Karaan, director and producer. 

Confirming the same, Amarpreet Singh of Khalsa Aid said, “Gippy ji told us that though he ‘physically’ wanted to help the Khalsa Aid members who are selflessly helping the flood victims and their families at ground zero, but due to some prior commitments, the actor had to leave for abroad. Still, he didn’t leave any stone unturned to help his fellow Punjabis, so he has now donated a total of Rs 10 lakh for the rescue operations, distribution of relief material and rehabilitating the Punjab flood victims.”

Among those personalities from entertainment industry who have reached ground zero to help the victims and Khalsa Aid workers is Himanshi Khurana, who have tremendously helped the affected families by distributing medicines, sanitary napkins for women, food aid and much more. 

Singer and actor Tarsem Jassar also reached the affected areas and helped carrying out rescue operations as well as distributing medical aid and food material.

Gurpreet Ghuggi also met the affected families in the flood-hit areas. 

Meanwhile, celebrities like Neeru Bajwa, Sonam Bajwa, Kavita Kaushik, Ammy Virk among others have took down to their social media handles to share the helpline numbers to gather maximum help.

Punjab is witnessing its worst flood in three decades. More than hundreds have gone missing in 500 villages in these floods. The rains have led havoc in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Ferozpur and Rupnagar area of Punjab.
