With a view to speak on matters which Gippy Grewal can’t highlight as an actor, he decides to remake his Punjabi directorial debut, Ardaas in Hindi.
Gippy Grewal, who is these days shooting for his upcoming film ‘Nee Tu Jatt Di Pasand’ said, “I will be heading for Mumbai this month to finalize the cast. The Hindi remake of Ardaas would be very different from the Punjabi version.”
Elaborating on the same, the superstar told media, “The Punjabi (Ardaas) was based on the teachings of the ‘Gurbani’. We are changing the basic content, though not the intent. Also, the cast will be completely Bollywood. Some very prominent names are being considered.”
“When I direct a film I’ll never face the camera in the same film.
When asked whether he would be acting in the Hindi version of Ardaas or not, he said, “When I direct a film I’ll never face the camera in the same film. It is too much to be taken on both acting and directing simultaneously.”
We sincerely hope though that Gippy would at least make a guest appearance in the film like he did in the Punjabi Ardaas!
