While many Punjabi artistes are relishing the new found recognition that they are receiving from Bollywood and the national media, here is one person who has silently made his way into Hollywood and luckily, we have some details about it!
Reportedly, the popular Indian rap artist has sung a song for an upcoming Hollywood film Passengers. According to sources, he was recently approached by a studio to croon a number this space-adventure slash romantic-drama film slated to release on 6th Jan 2017.
The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, popular in India for playing Mystique in the X-Men franchise and Chris Pratt, known for Jurassic World! The song by Raftaar will be a promotional one, and will be attached to the prints of the film in India.
The song has been titled Aadat, and will play before the Passengers begins. Raftaar shared the news on his Instagram and wrote “HELLO HOLLYWOOD. Shooting a song for The upcoming hollywood movie “PASSENGER” today in mumbai. Video will play in all theatres before the movie. One step closer. (sic)”
So as you read this, your favourite Raftaar is recording a song for a Hollywood film. Earlier many stars have crooned promotional tracks for Hollywood films releasing in India.
