In July last year, a video of one of the most sensational singers of Punjabi music world, Kaur B went viral on social media. In the video, while Kaur B was performing, a man climbed up the stage with a fistful of notes and after throwing them over her, he leaned over to kiss her. Immediately song-writer Bunty Bains stopped Kaur B from singing on stage and announced that if anyone came on stage, they would cancel the program, and that they don’t need anybody’s ‘5-10’ rupees notes (People were throwing currency notes at them).
Bunty B’s strong defense for Kaur B and then the reports of the duo being caught in a compromising position in a hotel, even led the grapevine to suggest that something is brewing between the two. However, on contacting them, both of them denied the rumours and also stated that it was one of their common enemies who was spreading such rumours about them. Now Bunty Bains and Kaur B have officially separated professionally from each other.
