Thanks to Facebook, the four-letter word ‘Like’ has become hugely popular. Although in the past too, we had no better substitute of this word but today popularity of anything and everything is measured simply by how many Likes you get for it. Talking of liking, we all have different likes but one thing that is universally liked is movies and the actors portraying different characters who sometimes touch our lives in such a way that they become our super-duper favourites. I like this actor! I like her looks! I like the way he walks! I like the way she talks!
Today, I’ve tried to share few secrets of some of our ‘like’able Ballewood stars. So, here we go!
Arshveer Bajwa or should I say Neeru Bajwa, before becoming the Queen of Punjabi movies acted in Television Serials like Astitva-Ek Prem Kahaani, Millee etc, and was one of the contestants in Nach Baliye – Season 1, that we all know but how many of us know that Neeru Bajwa was a Dev-Anand-Discovery yesssssss that’s true! The first movie she acted in was Main Solah Baras Ki that came out in the year 1998. She played second-lead in the movie. And if that isn’t enough, go and check out Atif Aslam’s hit song Doorie and see who’s the girl on whom the song got picturised. Its no one else but Neeru only.
Kimi Verma, we all have seen her in movies like Jee Ayaan Nu, Asa Nu Maan Watna Da , Aaj De Ranjhe etc, and have loved her performance but how many of us know that before starting her Ballewood-journey, this Mumbai-born girl won the title of Miss Bombay in 1993 and Femina Miss India Beautiful Hair title in 1994.
Gurdas Mann doesn’t need any introduction because his name speaks about his persona. But still, there are a thing or two very few people know like before hitting the Punjabi-singing-scene with Dil Da Maamla, this Punjabi lad having degree of Masters in Physical Education was a Lecturer at a college in Dera Bassi and fewer know that he was a black-belt holder in Judo.
Surveen Chawla, the all-new Kaur of Ballewood after completing her B.A from
Gavie Chehel, the handsome-hunk who left the serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi to act in the movie Yaraan Naal Baharaan got his first lead role in the movie Mehendi Waale Hathh. Though his latest one is Pinky Mogewaali, this guy from Punjab Police won the title of Mr. Punjab in the year 2000. Impressive Resume, I must say!
Handsome Jimmy Shergill did his schooling from
Tarun Khanna who has movies like Pataa Nahi Rabb Kehreyaan Rangaan Vich Raazi and Pooja Kiwein Aa has acted in TV serials like Kabhi Aaye Na Judaai on Star Plus and Naam Gum Jaayega on Sony, But before becoming an actor he was a model and in his initial days, he was known as Hrithik-look-alike because of the advertisement of a cold drink he did with Shah Rukh Khan where he was made Hrithik-look-alike.
So, enough of sachchi-muchchi info for today!! And how many likes this this information is going to get..depends solely on you.. yes youuu!! 🙂
