However, it was when his elbow was injured that this talented sportsman took to his second love, MUSIC and never looked back again.
2. Sharry Mann:
Our Yaar Anmulla, who made us dance on songs like Aate Di Chidi, Love You and 3 Peg, boasts of a degree in Civil Engineering. He was very much into a job as a civil engineer before realising his true potential as a singer.

Before managing his life as a singer and subsequently, an actor, our Angrej was actually a Bank Manager! Yes, you read it right. We’re glad that he listened to his heart eventually and contributed so much to Punjabi film and music industry.
4. Parmish Verma:
Never shying away from discussing about his days of struggle and the odd jobs that he did on those days, Parmish Verma tells openly in an interview that he left his college midway to follow his heart and went to Sydney. For survival he did odd jobs there – from washing utensils at a pub, becoming a bartender and ultimately, becoming as the manager of the pub, he did it all. He came back to India finally and started from scratch his music career.
He worked part-time with a mobile service company as a team leader and earned around 2,500 INR per month. After that, he came into the music world as a Bhangra performer. As the fortune favors the brave, he finally realised his dream of becoming an ace singer.
6. B.N. Sharma :
You’d be surprised to know that the man who has played a Policeman in many of his films was actually a policeman in real life for over 25 years. We’re talking about B.N. Sharma, who served his duty as Punjab police constable before entering into the world of Theatre, TV and Films.
7. Jaswinder Bhalla:
Jaswinder Bhalla without whom any Punjabi comedy film is incomplete, is a faculty at prestigious Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. He still teaches there besides doing so many Punjabi films. No wonder why he’s able to play the roles of teachers and professors in films with so much elan.
