It seems that finally, the lull phase of Punjabi cinema is going to be over, as it gears towards a big blockbuster with Gurnam Bhullar and Tania’s ‘LEKH’- the trailer of which has been released today and has already created a strong buzz all over the internet.
Coming from the magical pen of industry’s ace writer, Jagdeep Sidhu and bankrolled by the most prolific production house here – Whitehill Studios – Lekh is directed by debutante Manvir Brar, who has previously worked with Jagdeep Sidhu in a number of Punjabi films.
Lekh will be hitting the Punjabi cinema screens on 1st April this year.
The trailer depicts a ‘coming-of-age’ love story (something that Jagdeep Sidhu is now a pro at) between ‘Raunak’ (Tania) and Rajvir (Gurnam Bhullar) that begins from their school-going days but takes some unexpected turns as they grow up, leading to their separation.
The highlight of the trailer is the chemistry between Tania and Gurnam Bhullar, which is portrayed in a distinct, innocent fashion on-screen. How the film progresses from this innocence of the lead characters to intense maturity, is something that the audience is eager to know.
