Jarnail Singh: Serving Punjabi Cinema For Last 23 Years

Who doesn’t remember ‘Bomb Chacha’ from the critically-acclaimed Diljit Dosanjh starrer, Sajjan Singh Rangroot? This iconic role was played by none other than the man named, Jarnail Singh, often touted as the backbone of Punjabi film industry.

The proud owner of Virasat Films, a famous line production company in Punjab, Jarnail started his career from film ‘Train To Pakistan’ in 1996 as a crowd artist. Though he made humble beginnings of his career as an artiste then, Jarnail Singh has since then never looked back in his career spanning over 23 years now.

As much as he’s worked for Punjabi cinema, he’s equally known for his contributions in Bollywood movies as a line producer. Not only this, Jarnail has worked as a model for more than 8000 religious characters so far. As a line producer, he’s worked for films like Qismat, Nikka Zaildar series and many more.

Recently he was highly acknowledged for his work in Amrinder Gill’s blockbuster ‘Chal Mera Putt’ as well which broke all the records for Punjabi films released in overseas.

Speaking to Iampunjaabi.com, Jarnail Singh said, “I am thankful to the Almighty for taking me so far in my career. I am also thankful to each and every one who supported me in my journey and to repay, I am always there with my services.”

Jarnail Singh has also worked in many short films as well. His role in ‘Shukar Dateya’, a short film starring Rana Ranbir and himself, was highly appreciated by both the Punjabi film fraternity and the critics.
