On the very first day of its release, Punjabi period film, Nadhoo Khan garnered appreciation from allover.
The much-awaited Punjabi period film, Nadhoo Khan was finally released on 26th April, 2019 and the movie witnessed Punjabis going to watch the movie in large numbers. Directed by Imran Sheikh, produced by Harpreet Singh Devgun, Achint Goel and Rakesh Dahiya and penned by Sukhjinder Singh Babba, Nadhoo Khan has a really unique storyline which opens the first-of-its-kind period drama genre in the Ballewood industry. With a fine blend of romance, drama, comedy and action, Nadhoo Khan traces the journey of a wrestler’s life.
With Harish Verma and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, Nadhoo Khan stands testament to the rich culture of Punjab, especially the strong association of Punjabis and the ‘akhada’.
“It’s true that Nadhoo Khan is coming after exact one year of Golak Bugni…I wanted to do something that is content driven. I did get offers in between but those weren’t stories I could relate with. I was looking for a good script and Nadhoo Khan fulfilled the criterion,” stated Harish Verma to Iampunjaab.com in an interview.
The movie also stars BN Sharma, Baninderjit Singh Bunny, Hobby Dhaliwal, Malkeet Rauni, Rupinder Rupi, Gurpreet Bhangu, Harinder Bhullar, Gurchet Chitarkaar, Simran Dhindsa, Parkash Gadhu, Mahabir Bhullar, Raj Dhaliwal, Satwinder Kaur, Seema Kaushal, Master Ansh Tejpal and Chacha Bisna in pivotal roles.
