Dev Kharoud To Play Another Real-Life Character – This Time It’s For A Film Based On Jassi Sidhu’s Honour Killing

Dev Kharoud, who’s created his own niche in the Punjabi film industry, which was generally regarded as the haven for comedy film fantatics, is now ready to play another intense and real-life character for a film, allegedy based on the life of Jassi-Sidhu honour killing case. 

Produced by Dream Reality Movies, (who’re behind films like Daakuan Da Munda, Kaka Ji), the film is reportedly slated to get released in 2019 only and shall see Dev enacting the role of the ‘investigating officer’.

[h4]Based on such a real-life tale of Jassi Sidhu and Sukhwinder Mithu, who married in 1999 against the wishes of their familes, the film is yet untitled. While Jassi Sidhu was brutally killed by her own family, Sukhwinder Mithu spent his entire life fighting for justice![/h4]

Sukhwinder Mithu, the husband of the deceased ‘Jassi Sidhu’, is reportedly relieved to find out that there are people in film industry who are sympathetic towards his wife’s tragic death and want to showcase the evil in our society on screen.  “This is going to be a huge honour for my wife, who I believe is still somewhere in the heaven, hoping for justice.”
