Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and Punjabi star Gippy Grewal are back in Mumbai following a high-energy press conference in Punjab at the revered “Fateh Burj”. The duo, who have been generating buzz for their upcoming collaboration, were all smiles as they shared updates about their much-anticipated movie with the media.
Karan Johar, known for his larger-than-life cinematic ventures, took to Instagram to express his excitement. He wrote: “Get, Set, Go! #Akaal 10th April!”
The press conference in Punjab highlighted the strong chemistry between Karan Johar and Gippy Grewal, with both praising each other. Karan compared collaborating with Gippy Grewal for Akaal to the time when he took the onus of releasing Bahubali in Hindi 12 years back.
He said he saw the similar passion and humility in Gippy Grewal as he saw in the South Indian filmmakers then.
Based on the valour and sacrifices of the Sikh warriors, Akaal releases on 10th April in both Punjabi and Hindi worldwide. Karan’s enthusiasm and Gippy’s charm have set the stage for what promises to be a blockbuster.
