Film LAATU has been passed by Censor Board without any cuts and has been given ‘U’ certificate which in layman terms, means a film watchable by any person of any age. Talking about the film, LAATU is a period film that attempts to showcase life in the 1960s when in Punjab, electricity was still a luxury. This was an era when people across Punjabi villages had still some superstitions concerned with LAATU (bulb) while some considered having it as an upgradation to their social status.
Laatu is directed by Manav Shah and produced by Jagdeep Singh Rana (Farid Entertainment/New Era Movies). The film’s music has been given by Jatinder Shah. The film’s trailer has already received a stupendous response by the audience and its songs ‘Jeth Mahina’ and ‘Satt Pind’ are being loved by Punjabi music lovers.
